If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox.

Reginald Dyer was not assassinated by Udham Singh, that was Michael O'Dwyer. Different person, different article. bonadea contributions talk 08:33, 2 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

ScanDisk infos

[edit]

09 February 2020 - Hello I am a temporary user of this IP address; hope somebody is reading this, the article i am reading, connected with this talk page at this moment, 'Microsoft ScanDisk', contains at least one error: it is not true that ScanDisk does not work with MS Windows NT and related MS Windows, like Windows 2000 and especially Windows XP; as a matter of fact in this precise moment as I write these lines I have a hard disk being controlled with ScanDisk under Windows XP Professional, 2002 edition; please check better your sources, it is not the only conspicuous error I find, especially from quite some time, in Wikipedia; it looks the errors are increasing, the more Wikipedia becomes tainted with a clear political bias... in fact I tend to use it as little as possible, it is no longer reliable, as this example of bad information I am reporting here now exemplifies. One more thing: there is no mention (of course) of the fact that Microsoft ditched ScanDisk after Windows XP, and reverted to CHKDSK. But up to and including Windows XP, it offered both CHKDSK and ScanDisk; only after Windows XP, surely with windows 7, Microsoft started offering only a claimed improved edition of CHKDSK only.

best regards, nachiketa
