Hello, I'm Mako001. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Rorqual, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Mako001 (C)  (T)  🇺🇦 04:40, 30 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits a summary may be quite brief.

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Adakiko (talk) 07:15, 30 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Accipiter. Adakiko (talk) 04:09, 1 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

Someone using this IP address, 2601:647:4180:6010:0:0:0:C0F7, has made edits which do not conform to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may be removed if they have not already been. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. Additionally, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

If you did not make this change, you may wish to consider getting a username to avoid confusion with other editors. Logging in is not mandatory to read or edit pages on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free, requires no personal information, and has many benefits. Without a username, your IP address is used to identify you.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the Help desk, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have!

Some other good links for newcomers are:

Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and a timestamp. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, visit the Teahouse, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Again, welcome! Adakiko (talk) 05:23, 1 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you change it to bovine? The sources state "antelope". Cheers Adakiko (talk) 05:23, 1 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your editing / summaries

[edit]

Hi... I just removed a report I made about your edits to AIV. On reflection, I don't know for sure that you're vandalizing. I also am not sure you have received sufficient warning. I DO know that you must use edit summaries or the talk page for articles to explain your changes. This allows other editors to weigh the benefits of your editing. Please use edit summaries! Birth Control

[edit]

I’ve noticed you reverted my edit on the Wikipedia page on birth control, stating disagreement as your reason for reversion.

What exactly causes you to disagree with the definition of birth control as a method or practice which prevents childbirth?

My reasoning for changing the article is to point out the fact that contraception prevents conception, whereas birth control prevents childbirth, and those are different things. Abortion is not a form contraception, but it is a form of birth control. 203.214.77.227 (talk) 10:28, 6 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Oops. I attempted to address a different user but accidentally addressed you on the subject instead.

Please ignore my comments on birth control. 203.214.77.227 (talk) 10:35, 6 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Randy Moore

[edit]

You have taken my edit down because I didn’t provide a reference, understandingly so. I am new to editing and find it hard to do. I would appreciate it if you can add the reference on to my edit, it’s not hard to find out that its facts information. Randy Moore is the first African-American Chief of the Forest Service. That is notable! Let me know if you can’t do it and I will try and figure out how to note the ref. Thanks 47.211.101.61 (talk) 12:59, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
