Welcome![edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions, such as the ones you made to Burley Woodhead. I hope you like the place and decide to stay.

Here are some links to pages you may find useful:

You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but if you wish to acquire additional privileges, you can simply create a named account. It's free, requires no personal information, and lets you:

Note that in order for the first three features to be available, you must have had an account for a certain number of days and made a certain number of edits.

If you edit without using a named account, your IP address (83.151.226.117) is used to identify you instead.

I hope that you, as a Wikipedian, decide to continue contributing to our project: an encyclopedia of human knowledge that anyone can edit. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, or you can click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. We also have an intuitive guide on editing if you're interested. By the way, please make sure to sign and date your talk page comments with four tildes (~~~~).

Happy editing! OhKayeSierra (talk) 14:51, 3 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm CLCStudent. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Annapolis Royal have been undone because they did not appear constructive. Preview[edit]

Hello, and thank you for your improvements to Treaty of the Triple Alliance. However, they required a fair bit of cleanup work themselves - mostly typos, and some formatting issues. I would encourage you to slow down a bit, and to get in the habit of using the Preview function. I'll attach a message about that below. Thanks, Jessicapierce (talk) 17:28, 7 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits to Treaty of the Triple Alliance, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the article will look like without actually saving it.

The "show preview" button is right next to the "publish changes" button and below the edit summary field.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. Jessicapierce (talk) 17:28, 7 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Having delved further into your edits, I have found similar issues with your additions to Triple Alliance (1914), Machaín-Irigoyen Treaty, Loizaga – Cotegipe Treaty, Shupria, Dwight Ball, François Legault, Quebec ban on religious symbols, and Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty. In all but one of your edits which I've looked over thus far, you have introduced errors.
These range from simple typos, to very odd changes, such as changing "Landry's" to "Landry;s" and "Paraguay's" to "Paraguay'a". Many of your edits are improvements, but there are enough of these bizarre changes to make me wonder whether you are in fact editing in good faith.
Please slow down and check your work. Jessicapierce (talk) 18:33, 7 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I have now fixed errors you introduced at Peace treaty, Old French, Ceasefire, HMS Incomparable, Chatham station (Ontario), Cockburn, South Australia, Palaeotype alphabet, Hasinai, Macon's Bill Number 2, Cherokee County, Texas, Robinson v. California, Maurice Challe, Henry Cabot Lodge, Paul Baudouin, Popular Front (France), Raytheon, 35-hour workweek, Grapheme, Lexeme, Theoretical linguistics, Hmong people, Triple Alliance (1914) (again), Gondwana (India), Standard language, Perioeci, and Trophimoi. You edited those last six after I posted my first message on your talk page.
I urge you again to please SLOW DOWN. Jessicapierce (talk) 22:45, 7 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I have fixed the errors you introduced at Hybrid word, Morphological parsing, Floating tone, Morpheme, Phoneme, Morphophonology, Ajaccio, Porto-Vecchio, Sartène, and Bastia. In a few of the latter articles, I simply undid your changes altogether, as I did not feel the contribution warranted the cleanup work. If you'd like to resubmit the productive parts of those edits, you are welcome to do so, but please look over your text and make sure you're not creating more endless cleanup work for others. Thanks, Jessicapierce (talk) 04:02, 8 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm CLCStudent. I noticed that you recently removed content from Roman von Ungern-Sternberg without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.
