Articles on Panakkal Velayudhan nominated for deletion[edit]

Greetings. Two articles you contributed have been nominated for deletion: Late Panakkal Velayudhan and Panakkal Velayudhan (late). You are welcome to give your opinion and recommendations in the debate, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Late Panakkal Velayudhan and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Panakkal Velayudhan (late). If you choose to do so, Wikiquette requires that you identify yourself as the author. I recommend you to read the documents Wikipedia:Guide to deletion and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion first.

It is not clear two me why you chose to have two articles instead of one plus a redirect page; perhaps you are not yet familiar with the possibilties of Wikipedia.

In any case, the problem is that the(se) article(s) do(es) not explain how or why this person is notable. You have stated that he is famous, but not how and why. Is he, prehaps, the same person as Sri P.K. Velayudhan, former Minister? In that case, notability is easy to establish. --LambiamTalk 17:05, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Panakkal Velayudhan, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. Please stop[edit]

You keep re-creating an article on Panakkal Velayudhan, who I presume is a member of your family. This indicates a probable conflict of interest, but if you do think the subject is notable per our biography guidelines then you should start by taking Panakkal Velayudhan to deletion review.
