Hello AliBuddInteriors. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:AliBuddInteriors. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=AliBuddInteriors|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. --- Possibly (talk) 23:18, 20 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Orange Mike | Talk 03:28, 21 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Requested username:

Request reason:

I am not a business or organization. I am a fan of a designer name Ali Budd, which is why I was using that username. I'm a fan of interior and furniture design and also came to be familiar with Futurezona's work through numerous press articles. I intend to make useful contributions about some of the designers I've read about online through credible sources. I am not receiving any compensation from anyone to create Wikipedia pages. AliBuddInteriors (talk) 14:03, 21 May 2021 (UTC)

Decline reason:

Confirmed sockpupppetry to Randbirsidhu3033, now reblocked to reflect this. Yamla (talk) 10:27, 23 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Are there any topics other than interior design that you are interested in editing about? 331dot (talk) 08:13, 22 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@331dot: Hello - yes, absolutely. I am also interested in various mediums of art, as well as notable people, places, and things in Canada. I wish to make valuable and meaningful contributions and would love the opportunity to do so. Thank you for your time. AliBuddInteriors (talk) 15:17, 22 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Would you be willing to edit in those other areas first and refrain from editing about interior design related topics for a time? 331dot (talk) 20:19, 22 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

(Non-administrator comment) I find it very curious that on May 17 a user named Randbirsidhu uploaded high quality images on Commons for the Futurzona article about Rand Birsidhu. That article got deleted, but three days later this user recreated it.--- Possibly (talk) 21:11, 22 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@331dot: @Possibly: Hello, Thank you for your notes. I am brand new to Wikipedia and still becoming familiar with the platform so I appreciate all your notes and I'm already learning quite a lot. Yes, I originally created a Wikipedia username page called "Randbirsihu3033" as a fan of Futurezona founder Ranbir Sidhu. As I mentioned earlier, I came to be familiar with Futurezona's work through numerous press articles from all over the world and am not receiving compensation from anyone to create Wikipedia pages. I only just learned about "sockpuppetry" and that it was not okay to make a new account. When the first page got deleted, I couldn't even figure out how to add to my talk page, so I thought I would just create a new page as I've done with this AliBuddInteriors username since I am a fan of this designer as well. I read not to use my own name so thought this was okay. However, I understand now that if it appears as though an organization is writing for Wikipedia that is not acceptable (and not the case here). After reading online, I've learned the navigations and coding that comes with this adding comment to your own talk page. Since reading about "sockpuppetry", I understand your concerns. I would, however, still like to make valuable and meaningful contributions to Wikipedia. Should I delete the old account? Everything I had included in the proposed page for Futurezona was factual and from press articles I've found online so I thought that this would have been okay. This is all very new to me so any guidance you can provide for next steps would be greatly appreciated! AliBuddInteriors (talk) 22:49, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Futurezona, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. --- Possibly (talk) 03:29, 26 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Possibly: @331dot: @Yamla: Is anyone able to please read my last note on my talk page above and advise on what I should do as a next step? I am an honest person learning the ins and outs of Wikipedia so any help would be greatly appreciated. I saw the Futurezona page was deleted, but I would love to better understand what I can do to improve since all the information I included was directly from press articles. Thank you! AliBuddInteriors (talk) 14:23, 26 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

While blocked, this page should only be used to request unblock. 331dot (talk) 14:44, 26 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@331dot: @Yamla: I gave my defense above for "sockpuppetry" above - I did not understand earlier how to work through a deleted page with the first Wiki account so made another one. Now I understand how to do that and understand I should only be using one page. Should I delete this account and use the other one, or delete the other one and work with you to request unblock? AliBuddInteriors (talk) 14:52, 26 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Accounts cannot be deleted. 331dot (talk) 17:03, 26 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request to Be Unblocked

Request reason:

I understand I was denied from being unblocked due to sockpuppetry. I am brand new to Wikipedia and still becoming familiar with the platform and learning. Yes, I originally created a Wikipedia username page called "Randbirsihu3033" as a fan of Futurezona founder Ranbir Sidhu. I would, however, still like to make valuable and meaningful contributions to Wikipedia. I need guidance on how to rectify this situation. Again, I am not a business or organization or receiving compensation. I intend to make useful contributions about some of the designers I've read about online through credible sources. The page I proposed for Futurezona was based on facts I read in press articles. Following this petition to be unblocked, I would love to connect with someone to help me better understand how to frame language so it is suitable for Wikipedia.

rename

[edit]

Renamer note: Before I act on this, I need to check with blocking admins. @Yamla and Orangemike:. This request makes me dizzy following the convolutions. To be eligible for a global rename, the request must meet all of the following criteria:... The user is not seeking the rename to conceal or obfuscate bad conduct. I'm I OK to rename? --Deepfriedokra (talk) 13:58, 28 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have no objections to the rename. Furthermore, I have no objections to unblocking if you believe this user would be constructive. This relieves you of the burden imposed by the checkuser block. :) You may wish to wait for Orangemike's opinion, too. --Yamla (talk) 14:07, 28 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Futurezona

[edit]

Hello AliBuddFanGirl,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Futurezona for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Blocked

[edit]

Despite earlier concerns raised, you have continued to pretty blatantly violate WP:PROMO. I simply don't see you ever being unblocked without a topic ban around Ranbir Sidhu and around interior design. Your deleted article on Futurezona was a terrible example of this. I further doubt that you have no conflict of interest here, given your pretty singular focus. --Yamla (talk) 09:37, 16 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
