Missouri S&T Chancellor-designate Cheryl B. Schrader
Hello - I would like to suggest that you or another editor of the Missouri S&T wikipedia page consider creating a page for Chancellor-designate Cheryl B. Schrader. Her official university bio is at http://chancellor.mst.edu/meet/bio.html .
Since I am in charge of marketing and public relations for the university, I am reluctant to create such a page on behalf of my incoming boss, but wanted to offer this suggestion for your consideration.
Thank you also for your swift update to the S&T entry yesterday.

Hi. I'm a member of a bar association (Inn of Court) committee working on a historical reenactment of the trial of James Joseph Hines, at which William Copeland Dodge played a prominent role, and I see that you created and wrote most of our article about Dodge. If you happen to be aware of any additional sources of information about Dodge, Hines, or this trial, beyond the ones cited in the article, I'd appreciate your letting me know. Thanks very much, Newyorkbrad (talk) 22:58, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks Brad. The information on him is surprisingly sparse. What I got was mostly from newspaper searches (e.g., New York Times archives). Good luck with your project it sounds interesting.Americasroof (talk) 11:26, 19 March 2012 (UTC)

Your recent edit to Missouri University of Science and Technology
While it may or may not be the most useful data to put the rankings there (I personally would've said "hey, it's good so long as it's not prominent, like up in the beginning"), I just wanted to say I felt it was wrong to call that edit "vandalism". What was added was truthful, and almost certainly a good faith effort to add information; at worst it was adding a bit of puffery to the page. umrguy42 19:48, 7 June 2012 (UTC)
- The edit which had just been made by a new editor was unreferenced and said the school ranked 82nd in engineering schools. Throughout the article there are referenced claims it is among the top 5. I bet you can't name 82 engineering schools in the United States much less place Rolla at the bottom of the list. It was cleverly designed vandalism.Americasroof (talk) 00:19, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
- Actually, I just happened to see it the other week. A quick Google search would have easily led you here: [1]. Unreferenced, yes, and ok to be reverted (better to be referenced, however), but vandalism it wasn't. (As a side note, how Mizzou ranks ahead of my alma mater for engineering, I don't want to know, but anyway...) umrguy42 12:57, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for the follow up and being diplomatic. I was shocked to see the rankings. I've restored the rankings section with references.Americasroof (talk) 13:09, 9 June 2012 (UTC)
- No problem. Looking at it further, that link was GRAD school rankings. Not sure where the undergrads were, looked to be behind a paywall. umrguy42 20:00, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks again. The rankings for graduate level complicates things considerably. Rolla never really emphasized its post graduate program. So the rankings are misleading. I'm back to thinking of deleting the section unless we can get something more balanced.Americasroof (talk) 11:09, 14 June 2012 (UTC)

Not sure if it needs to be totally deleted, but if there's a spot to tuck it away that de-emphasizes it a bit, would be better, unless we can find the full undergrad rankings. umrguy42 20:43, 14 June 2012 (UTC)

Architectural elements in: Template talk:Infobox museum
Would you comment, by any chance on Template talk:Infobox museum#Request for architect/architectural details, 3rd ed.? Architectural details in Infobox Museum or so lacking, I'm not sure the anemic museum infobox is worth using vs. the robust Template:Infobox building.

File source problem with File:Clell-miller-death.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:Clell-miller-death.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. Disambiguation link notification for October 31
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Gary Barnett (real estate developer), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Riverside South (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Adam-Ondi-Ahman Wikipedia Image
Hello, My name is Duane Hurst and I recently made a free (non-commercial) English web site to share information with people. I added links to your Wikipedia/Wikimedia freeware picture. I also gave credit to you on my web pages for your work. Thank you for sharing with the public. My website is:
http://www.freeenglishsite.com/
I add pictures such as yours to one of the following major sections of my site: 1. World section - contains information and over 10,000 images of every world country and territory. Link at: http://www.freeenglishsite.com/world/index.htm
2. USA section - contains information and images of every USA state and territory. Link at: http://www.freeenglishsite.com/world/usa/index.htm
3. English section - "Mel and Wes" lessons in conversation format. Stories are located in various USA states and world countries such as China, England, Germany, Japan, Mexico and Thailand. Each lesson has many slang terms and idioms, which I link to my Slang Dictionary. This eventually will have over 5,000 terms. Currently, it has about 3,000 slang and idioms. I regularly add new lessons and slang terms. Link at: http://www.freeenglishsite.com/english/lessons/index.htm Slang Dictionary link at: http://www.freeenglishsite.com/english/slang/Eslang_a.htm
Prior to retirement, I taught English at several private and public universities in the United States.
Please share this free site with your friends. I hope all will enjoy the pictures and find the English information useful. Sincerely, Duane Hurst in Utah, USA

Speedy deletion nomination of Orient-Express Hotels
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Orient-Express Hotels requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. BO | Talk 12:21, 29 December 2012 (UTC)
- THis article has been extensively edited by others and I haven't touched it since 2009. I reverted it back to a 2007 version by me that does not have the violations. Nuking the whole article of a noteworthy company because somebody copy and pasted one paragaph seems excessive.Americasroof (talk) 15:09, 29 December 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for fixing it up, problem was that there was also issues in the opening paragraph coming from routers as well as the other paragraph. BO | Talk 11:05, 30 December 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for making a good faith effort to clean it up. It's confusing when there were so many anonymous edits. The copyright template was a little scary because I was not entirely sure how to respond to it. Thanks for understanding on it.Americasroof (talk) 07:00, 31 December 2012 (UTC)
