Hi Amss125, just wanted to expand on the above and explain why I just tagged a load of articles you created (and probably spent a lot of time on!). Wikipedia article's subjects must past the test of notability to be included on Wikipedia - this means, in short, that they have been written about significantly in reliable sources of information such as newspapers, online news articles, or published books. I don't think individual bus stops pass this requirement, so I nominated them for deletion where other users can weigh in with their opinions. Hope this doesn't disuade you from contributing further to Wikipedia and if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Sam Walton (talk) 21:49, 17 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Bellevue (bus stop)

[edit]

The article Bellevue (bus stop) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Why is this bus stop notable?

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Please stop for now

[edit]

You are creating loads of articles on bus stops. The mood at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ternevig (bus stop) seems to be that these are not wanted and will be deleted, but meanwhile you continue to create new ones. Please stop creating further articles on bus stops until the AfD has finished, and if the discussion ends in delete (which seems very likely) don't create any further ones. You are invited to join the discussion instead and present your view and why you believe these bus stops deserve an article under Wikipedia guidelines and policies. Please stop you creation of bus stop articles

[edit]

Hello Amss125,

I've noticed that you've recently created lots of articles about individual bus stops in Norway. While we're really happy that you want to improve Wikipedia, these articles all fail Wikipedia's general notability guideline and have been decided to be non-notable and indiscriminate collections of data. It would be a much better use of your time to try and improve existing articles that are more significant than individual bus stops so your efforts don't keep getting deleted.

Again, we really appreciate what you're trying to do, but it doesn't quite fit with what we consider notable enough for inclusion. I've included a welcome template at the top of this page to help orient you with Wikipedia policies and ideas to help. Let me know on my talk page if you have any questions! Block

[edit]

I asked you yesterday to stop creating these bus stop articles, and start communicating instead. You have continued to create these nevertheless, creating more useless work for everyone involved. I have blocked your account for 24 hours. Please start discussing things and stop creating these articles until there is some indication that they are wanted on Wikipedia. If you wuold continue with these after the block ha expired, you will receive a much longer block instead. Fram (talk) 07:44, 20 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
