Speedy deletion of Sysplex Timer

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Sysplex Timer, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD g11.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Phgao 05:36, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Good work

[edit]

Appreciate your recent work on mainframe articles, this field really needs it. I'll try to edit some of them, if you don't mind. I'm not a mainframe expert, I just hope to influence articles to be fully comprehensible from a view of contemporary IT. Please correct my edits as needed. --Kubanczyk 00:18, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, I've noticed you are adding everything to Category:IBM Mainframe computer operating systems. Just don't bother. Categories are a rarely used feature. Everyone seems to prefer to just either (a) click an interesting link, or (b) use "search" box. Please, don't create multiple [[links to a place]] in the same article. Preferred style is to link once, and only when really needed, this is an official Wikipedia policy. --Kubanczyk 00:55, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add articles that are not about an IBM operating system to Category:IBM Mainframe computer operating systems. The name of a category gives what should be in it; things that are just "related to" that subject should not be in it. Thus, OS/360 and MVS/370 belong in this category, but COBOL, Direct access storage device, and Access registers do not. Thanks. -R. S. Shaw 20:19, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article IBM Load Libraries has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No useful information, no context, orphaned, unreferenced.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
