Experience and Education

[edit]

Hey, so i added our names with the exception of Tope's (whose handle i didn't know), to the assignment list on the class page. I did a quick search and i don't think there is even a stub here for the book "Experience and education", though there is one for John Dewey, to which we should link the article we are creating. How to do this? I don't know yet, but I'm gonna work on an outline too and we can build on it as we go.KRibble (talk) 19:54, 10 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Kiran. Yeah, we're starting fresh on this one. But we can copy the template from one of the books that was recommended, and go from there. I'll take a look soon and we can add ideas for this outline here. Appknyc (talk) 01:00, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
One initial thought ... just read some "tips" on starting a new article, one of which is to experiment in a Sandbox. What do you all think? Appknyc (talk) 01:03, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Tope is DaLearnedOne. These are good first steps. You should have this conversation on the article talk page. I have offered some initial first steps there as well. With a new article, it may be useful to write the first 5 or 6 sentences in sandbox with footnotes intact, and paste them in. I, or one of the campus ambassadors can help you with getting some of the page structure up and correct. In particular, getting the {{Reflist}} to work correctly sometimes is funky.--Theredproject (talk) 20:17, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

So, after some searching there is a stub for experiential education where the book is mentioned as well as a short shpiel on John Dewey. Experiential learning and educational progressivism are also linked to this article. I think it might be a good idea to build off of this article or add to it since there's the disclaimer that it has multiple issues and needs improvement. Alternatively, since we are doing work solely on that one item from our reading experience and education, we could write the article based on that and link it to experiential education. --KRibble (talk) 00:30, 14 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Folks, Per Michaels suggestion, I'm continuing this conversation on the talk page of Experience and Education.--SoniaG2 (talk) 01:06, 15 February 2012 (UTC)SoniaG2[reply]

Hey Amy, here is the code for ==Sandbox==. Once created, I, and others, should be able to see what you put in there, but we will have to click on "sandbox" from your talk page to access. SoniaG2 (talk) 01:13, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Experience&EducationCover.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Experience&EducationCover.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 20:38, 28 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks -- it is currently being used in a Sandbox that will be moved to an article page within 7 days.Appknyc (talk) 21:01, 28 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
