July 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that your recent edit to JioCinema did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! - AquilaFasciata (talk | contribs) 20:52, 12 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Disambiguation link notification for October 29[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Aastha TV, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Spiritual. November 2023[edit]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at Republic TV, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Hello, you recently edited Republic TV and Sudarshan News to remove the term "Right-wing" news channels. Please avoid this kind of edits without discussion. Also, please do not remove maintenance tags unless the issue has been resolved. Wikiuser13 (talk) 01:29, 7 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did at Dabangg 3. This is your final warning. Further edits without a source or changing away from the sourced number and you WILL be reported to WP:AIV for your continued vandalism. You've been warned quite a few times and ignored all of these warnings. STOP. YOU WILL BE BLOCKED IF THUIS CONTINUES. Ravensfire (talk) 20:22, 20 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Kick (2014 film). Again, STOP changing box office numbers away from sourced information. This is disruptive and has been going on for a while. It WILL NOT be tolerated any longer. Ravensfire (talk) 03:50, 25 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you remove or blank page contents or templates from Wikipedia again, as you did at Sudarshan News, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Tousif ❯❯❯ Talk 13:15, 26 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
