Bare URLs
[edit]Please avoid bare URLs for reasons mentioned here: wp:bare URLs. See help:referencing for beginners. Also: wp:citation and wp:reliable sources. Personally, I prefer the wp:templates {{cite web}}
for most websites, {{cite book}}
, {{cite journal}}
for journals and magazines. Click on those links to go to the (rather convoluted) documentation. For cite web, the fields |url=, |title=, |author=, |date=, |publisher=, |access-date= are good to fill in. If it is a non-English website, you can add a translated title and language |language=fa, (Persian) |trans-title=... If you think the link may go dead, you can use https://archive.today to archive a copy for the future. Some sites are not supported. How to add an archive is discussed on cite web. Thank you for your contributions! Cheers Adakiko (talk) 11:23, 28 November 2021 (UTC)
On your edit here at the bottom, I removed a space before a comma and capitalized "Islamic". I'd forget too, if I didn't have my spell checker turned on. English, for you... Adakiko (talk) 11:32, 28 November 2021 (UTC)

This is a friendly advice
[edit]- Greetings @ Atheist kerala
Main article namespace has higher level requirements of references. Editing without fulfilling all those requirements is unlikely to be accepted and you will keep wasting time and energy.
Wikipedia certainly needs help in article expansion help from users like you. Same time I would like to suggest some strategic patience so you do not end up exhausting your options.
You are suggested and most welcome to keep focusing and updating Draft:Ex-Muslims of Kerala with references slowly but steadily. Other editors will take appropriate info with refs from there to this main article namespaces at the right time until you have enough experience on Wikipedia editing.
- At least know more what not to do, to not getting blocked or banned.
- One needs to use third party references as much as possible.
- If you yourself are part of management/ office bearer/ employee of any organization or website simply do not edit in own/their favor.
- By any chance do not try to have/ use more than one user account.
- Do not enter into edit wars at any point of time.
- Where in doubt about content engage in discussions through talk pages ** Let not get any content dispute personalized at any point of time.
I hope my suggestions would help you positively, you will stay and enjoy editing Wikipedia.

About the persecution section
[edit]@ Atheist kerala
It's okay to include persecution section in the article Ex-Muslims of Kerala. But you seem to have included blog references from freethoughtblogs. English Wikipedia traditions usually do not allow self published sources like blogs since they do not have inbuilt editorial counter check systems.
It would be preferable you look for some alternate sources instead of blog posts. May be you can try Malayalam language news sources with translation provided.
sure,but that content is only available in that site, will look for more sources

Avoid temptations of reverting edits
[edit]Greetings @ Atheist kerala
Pl. avoid temptation of edit reverts among you and Keralafeminist, Both of you might think those being friendlier minor edit reverts but others will not miss their opportunity to block Ex Muslim supporting editors unwanted to them on a simple pretext. Just do not give chance to others.

Stop Vandalism
[edit]Don't revert edits without clear evidences. Sabeelul hidaya (talk) 19:08, 31 January 2022 (UTC)
use talk page, you cannot keep a tag without clear points. the tag you placed is without evidence , and stop calling others vandals, or i may have to ping admins. ~~
Some important points
[edit]- 1) Most important your point is right or wrong, as earlier said just do not revert in a content dispute. By mistake some one makes a revert third time in a single day simply gets blocked. Revert block is biggest trap on WP which helps opponent in content disputes, don't have revert temptation even by mistake.
- 2) Next very important point is do not personalize. Don't refer some one as 'Muslim editor' or some thing. What proof are there some one is of any specific background or not. As much as possible one needs to retain good faith. One ends up spending lot of time in resolving personalized disputes and usually loosing more than gaining more. Simply remove/avoid personalizing comments.
- 3) In content dispute resolution Third opinion, Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard and Request for comment are the steps available. What is decided at Request for comment is usually considered final. Best thing don't get in disputes at least till you have studied a dozen dispute resolutions of others otherwise you end up exhausted like nothing. Save your energies we have lot more to do at Wikipedia.
I have few other articles to suggest but I will let you know that in separate section.
Happy editing

Hi Bookku thanks for the guidance, i will keep these points in mind Atheist kerala (talk)
Persecution section and article
[edit]- Usually in encyclopedic articles we are supposed to prefer paragraph writing over list and we do have some good sources to do paragraph writing for persecution section and I/ we will do it some time after second week of Feb.
- The 'List' article Persecution and attacks against Ex-Muslims in Kerala is under deletion discussion and it's narrow focus is unlikely to help. So I have suggested renaming to Persecution and attacks against Ex-Muslims in South Asia Once the deletion discussion is over you can focus on expanding the List article for entire South Asia, this is my request to you and User:Keralafeminist.
- The last but not least is we are not supposed to copy paste any content from other website or news portal as is but supposed to write in our own words other wise content is removed as copyright violation and repeat copyright violation can lead to blocking accounts.
- Simplest way I do is I take content to be rewritten on my personal computer, use google dictionary by saying 'Define xyz' it gives synonyms for words first try to use alternate verb if not possible then change other words.
Wish you happy editing
