Cities of New South Wales[edit]

Hi Aussiepounce99. I am about to revert your edits to Port Macquarie, New South Wales and Tweed Heads, New South Wales to reinstate their classifications as towns. I refer you to the following extract from the New South Wales cities template talk page:

"Defining whether a place can be a city or not based on its Council area is flawed, take for instance Tamworth Regional or Bathurst Regional Councils, both are centred around the major centres of Tamworth & Bathurst that in their own right would qualify to be called a city. Isnt there an official definition (by the NSW Goverment) that determines what is classed as a city or not? --59.167.7.100 03:42, 4 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The dictionary of the Local Government Act 1993 [1] defines a city as following:
“city means an area constituted as a city under Division 1 of Part 1 of Chapter 9.”
The Local Government Act 1993 No 30 Chapter 9 Part 1, Division 1, 204 Constitution of areas states that:
"(1) The Governor may, by proclamation, constitute any part of New South Wales as an area."
[And in 206 Constitution of cities]
"The Governor may, by proclamation, constitute an area as a city."
I believe that according to the Government of New South Wales unless a place has been proclaimed a city it is not a city, no matter how large its population is...
Blarneytherinosaur 06:34, 5 March 2006 (UTC)"[reply]

Also, the information you used for the article Cities of New South Wales needs clarification. Many of the places listed there are not cities at all. Some are towns, others are multiple cities grouped together. Please see the Cities of New South Wales talk page for my full criticism.

Please don't let this scare you off from editing Wikipedia. Just please make sure your information is correct and properly presented. Blarneytherinosaur 01:51, 27 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Articles proposed for deletion[edit]

Hi there. I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Griffith City Plaza, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Importance). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree, discuss the issues raised at Talk:Griffith City Plaza. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.

I have actually tagged the articles for all of the shopping centres in Griffith, as none of them seemed to indicate how they are any different to a shopping centre in any large country town/city. As these articles are all only linked from Griffith, New South Wales, you might like to merge or integrate the critical points from these articles, or expand them to show why each property is important or distinctive. If you expand them, please remove the box at the top. --Scott Davis Talk 07:31, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:MARYYYYYY!!!.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:MARYYYYYY!!!.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 09:05, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for experimenting with the page Illegal drug trade on Wikipedia. Your test worked, and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thank you for your understanding. -- Vary | Talk 15:21, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:MARYYYYYY!!!!.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey 15:28, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Feydey, I'm new to wikipedia and have no idea how to claim the image as mine. I took the picture personally and wish for it to remain on the site as it is a prime example of a convicted drug dealer (which is left out of the page). Sorry for any trouble.

Aussiepounce99

Then add: I, YOUR FULL NAME HERE took this picture on DATE HERE and release this picture to Public Domain. Also add who is in the picture to the image's page. Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. feydey 15:37, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

An article that you have been involved in editing, Westfield Belconnen, has been listed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Westfield Belconnen. Please look there to see why this is, if you are interested in whether it should be deleted. Thank you. --TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 05:10, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

June 2007[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. An article you recently created, The Reject Shop, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for new articles, so it will shortly be removed (if it hasn't been already). Please use the sandbox for any tests you may want to do and please read our introduction page to learn more about contributing. Thank you. Thewinchester (talk) 17:07, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Eaglelogo.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Eaglelogo.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 06:40, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Intairportphoto.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Intairportphoto.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- ТимофейЛееСуда. 21:37, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:The Irrigator[edit]

Hello, Aussiepounce99. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "The Irrigator".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by one of two methods (don't do both): 1) follow the instructions at WP:REFUND/G13, or 2) copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Draft:The Irrigator}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, and click "Save page". An administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 20:41, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:Intairportphoto.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 15 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
