September 2012[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Ra (American band) has been reverted.
Your edit here to Ra (American band) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.facebook.com/OfficialRa) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 22:51, 27 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources, as you did to Ra (American band). Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. SudoGhost 02:24, 28 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I feel like I'm going about editing the page correctly but my updates keep getting reverted back. My source for most of the changes are the band's lead singer and guitarist who are both founding members and I'm not sure how to site that when it's just someone's word that hasn't been formally quoted. Please read my post from 9-28-12 in the Metal section on the Ra (American Band) Talk page. Thank you!

Hi, The links you have added have been reverted because they are considered to be spam, and not reliable sources. Please discuss links further on the talk page (like you have) before adding them again. Thanks, LegoKontribsTalkM 00:04, 29 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello BandITBranding,

It seems to me that an article you worked on, World Fire Brigade, may be copied from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McA90gBybR4. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.

It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.

Thank you for helping build a free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 22:02, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello MadmanBot,

The article you reference was not copied from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McA90gBybR4. It was properly cited as coming from the band's record label's website and can also be found on other various social media sites that I personally have a hand in maintaining such as Facebook and ReverbNation. Thank you. the help desk Please contact me if you feel an issue still exists. Christy Rau a.k.a. BandITBranding (talk) 22:16, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on World Fire Brigade requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. §everal⇒|Times 22:44, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.  You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username doesn't represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. If you prefer to be unblocked for the purpose of changing your username to a username which complies with our username policy, so that your contributions with this username are recorded as contributions of your new username and rather than creating a new account, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice instead. Thank you. - Dank (push to talk) 05:54, 17 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
