September 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Yahoo! Answers, but we cannot accept original research. Original research also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. It's not that you're wrong, but you have to be able to demonstrate that you are right.Novangelis (talk) 16:24, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

Add Templates to your articles[edit]

You have created a number of articles on comic strips and artists for DC Thomson Comics. But you dont add the proper templates to the articles you create and I have had to add these to the articles. To use a template you need two of these kind of brackets { followed by the name of the template and a further two of those brackets, but in the opposite direction }. There are three templates you could do with using the Beano template, the Dandy Template and the D. C. Thomson Comics template. These templates are named Beano, Dandy and DCT Comics. Speedy deletion nomination of Harry Rickard[edit]

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on Harry Rickard requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about it should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you can assert the importance of the subject, Speedy delete contest button.png. Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

See the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. Rorshacma (talk) 17:49, 7 October 2011 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Zappy[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Zappy has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Appears to have no notability at all.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. LadyofShalott 00:26, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
