A word of advice[edit]

Or a few, maybe. First, make smaller edits. What you did on Juan Pablo Duarte, that one huge edit--please don't. It's impossible to go over that, and since it was tagged as having questionable sourcing you shouldn't be surprised if it gets reverted. Second, be more economical. These articles are already really long, probably too long, and they're really just too detailed--no wonder they get tagged with "This article may be too long to read and navigate comfortably". Also, I protected all those articles so you may have to make edits elsewhere before you can get in. Finally, you announced your account on that talk page and there's no way I can go and remove all those IPs from the history, so you're now "tied" to it. Good luck, Drmies (talk) 16:20, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Drmies That's fine, I've decided that I'll be stearing away from articles for a long while and will be focusing on doing smaller edits and work my way up as a more seasoned and advanced editor like yourself and others. Sorry for all trouble and thanks for the advice. Blessings to you. BlkGeneral2000 (talk) 18:20, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No, don't stay away--just make edits in a way that others can follow it. I'm seasoned, and I'll take that as a compliment, but not in this subject matter; we need you to do that. Make smaller edits, like a paragraph or two, and explain what's happening. And let me know if the socks return--I'm sorry I can't do more about it than I already have. I can't sit down and talk reasonably with them. Drmies (talk) 22:17, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello good evening, forgive me for not responding earlier. But I completely expressed myself incorrectly. I meant to say that I'll be working on other articles and creating some drafts for new arricles for the meantime and I'll come back to the Juan Pablo Duarte at a later time. Looking back at it now, it is pretty long and perhaps it's too detailed as you said. Once I get the chance, I'll go back to that article and minimize the content so that way it's more encyclopedic. It's going to take a while but I'll see to it that it gets done. BlkGeneral2000 (talk) 02:19, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from Eusebio Puello to another page. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. For example: Content in this edit is translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk page of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, please add attribution retrospectively for that also, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Flemmish Nietzsche (talk) 20:48, 11 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Gabino Puello requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. thetechie@enwiki: ~/talk/ $ 02:56, 12 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I've deleted this page, not for the reason given above but because it was an unambiguous WP:copyright violation of this page. Please confirm that you fully understand that you may not incorporate direct translations of copyright material into this project. Please see the general copyright advice below. Thanks, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 08:54, 12 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@BlkGeneral2000, TheTechie, and Justlettersandnumbers:. Some notes about this. I can see that a news website Acento (url https://acento.com.do), under that name, Acento.com.do, Acento (Dominican Republic), or Acento (Dominican Republic newspaper) has never been created on the English language Wikipedia. While that is not an outright determination of whether Acento.com.do is a reliable source, it would appear to me that it is a strong indication that it is not. It has never been included in en.wp's List of newspapers in the Dominican Republic. As for the "Personajes exaltados al Panteón Nacional" assertion in the Acento.com.do piece, en.wp only has an article on the Panteón Nacional de Venezuela. The Panteón Nacional of the Dominican Republic, as far as I can see, has neither an en.wp or es.wp article. As always, please do correct me if I am wrong about any bit of this.--Shirt58 (talk) 🦘 10:07, 12 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Good to note, @Shirt58. Worth the ping. thetechie@enwiki: ~/talk/ $ 00:35, 13 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Timoteo Ogando moved to draftspace[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Timoteo Ogando. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 04:31, 16 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, thanks for the update, I went back and added sources for the content. I have resubmitted it for review. BlkGeneral2000 (talk) 01:15, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
