UFC on Fox 30 - Fight Card

[edit]

Hi Aceusa, Greeting to you. Please note that when a bout is announced by the press, content and sourced are added to the "Announced bout" section. When the bout shown on UFC.com fight card, then the content from the "Announced bout" section is removed and place in the fight card section. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 04:11, 11 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bob Holly 316, pls see article talk page about subject name and in Wikipedia, the subject name is as per WP:COMMONNAME. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 11:40, 21 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

UFC events

[edit]

Hi Bob Holly 316, pls do not change the event names and do not moved the page as they are sourced. Secondly they are redirect and double redict page associate to them which means there will be effected more than 100 pages links missmatch where by all the bouts have been announced associated with the sourced event in the fighters' pages. You could put UFC on ESPN 3 which seems that will aired in ESPN+ in the body text instead. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 03:38, 23 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bob Holly 316, Pls do not update the fight card as it has not been shown on UFC.com yet. Pl see the below when editing mma related pages in Wikipedia.

  1. Pls visit Wikipedia:WikiProject Mixed martial arts and read through the MMA Wikipedia guidelines.
  2. When a bout is announced which stating "finalizing, in work, rumors, verbally agreed,  in the press, this means the bout is not official yet. Wait until it official bofore place it under the "Announced bouts" section of the event page.
  3. When a bout is announced in the press, editors put the match up in the  "Announced bouts" section (inline citation is needed)
  4. When UFC.com / its local web site (pls check the reference beneath the fight card table in the Wikipedia page), the editors would remove the bout in the "Announced bouts" and place it in the "fight card" section.
  5. When a fighter pulls from a fight (due to injury/or by UFC/ visa issues and etc), we placed the info in the "Background section" (inline citation needed) and remove the injured fighter name and put "TBD".
  6. When a injured fighter has been replaced, editor put the info in the background section (with inline citation). If the new match up has not been shown in the UFC.com fight card, then we will removed the match up from the fight card and place it back to "Announced section". If the match up already shown in the UFC.com then jut put the replacement fighter in the fight card section.
  7. When the event named has been announced (such as UFC Fight Night: dos Santos vs. Tuivasa) then we place the info in the background section (with inline citation). If UFC.com has shown the event name, then editor would move the article and article talk page name accordingly.
  8. No colour box in the fighter's page infobox. No title eliminator in the fight card or body text in fighter page or event page. No (c) - champion on the event fight card unless the fighter is the current champion of the weight division.

What are you talking about with "disruptive editing"? Check out this link here... https://www.bloodyelbow.com/2019/7/18/20698928/donald-cerrone-vs-justin-gaethje-set-as-ufc-vancouver-main-event-mma ... before you falsely accuse someone of "disruptive editing". How is updated a card "disruptive". Please state that for the court if you can. Go ahead and block me if you think that will give you some sort of power that you don't have in real life. I could care less and it would only hurt this site since I was able to update things before others could. Good luck with that.

Hi Bob Holly, Greetings. Pls note your edit here-1 did not provide source - for any info changed/added needs to provide source for verification where by "All content must be verifiable. The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material, and it is satisfied by providing an inline citation to a reliable source that directly supports[2] the contribution" - see WP:PROVEIT. Secondly, as I have provided you the list info on my previous message above (note #4), any bout just has been announced will be place under "Announced bouts" section (create it if the section is not there). When the announced bout shows in UFC.com event fight table, then we remove the bout from the "Annonced bout" section and place it on the fight care section (create it if there is no fight table). Pls see the source beneath the fight card table, that is the source indicates the bouts in UFC.com as the source is UFC.com of that particular event. I placed "disruptive warning" as I have explained to you before on "source needed" and a list of info for mma editor and you still continue to ignore them. Do note another user also added the same info on the table - see here-2 and it also has been restored by another regular mma editor - see here-3. Everyone is welcome to edit and contribute as long as they adhere to the guidelines. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 13:10, 19 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Doesn't matter since you'll can't wait to undo changes I've made that are 100% legit with verified sources attached anyway. Boohoo At least I'm not struggling asking for donations like Wiki was. LOL

TJ vs Cody 2 was a TKO... not a KO. Cody was still standing. Let alone not out cold.

Bob Holly 316, Pls note this is Wikipedia and Wikipedia is all about verification which has mentioned to you before and the source indicates KO - see here. Cassiopeia talk 01:03, 18 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sherdog got it wrong because it even says in the broadcast "TKO" and he was still on his feet! LOL What credible "source" would claim that's a KO? Here's the actual fight where Bruce says "by TKO". youtu. be/lP19mL1OJC0?t=612

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at Cody Garbrandt, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Cassiopeia talk 06:33, 18 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

How about you address the facts that I stated instead of pretending my correction are vandalizing and giving me warnings?

Bob Holly 316, Again, pls note that Wikipedia is all about verification (providing independent, reliable source to support the info) and not about fact in fight method - see Wikipedia:But it's true!, even you or I were actually in the in the arena and witnessing the fight and the source indicate differently, we are still considered not reliable source as per Wikipedia as we are not a reputable in term of providing source just like some of the B grade newspaper. When you changed/added info you need to provide independent, reliable source which you have been inform before. Pls use horizontal format of Template:Cite web if the source is from the we. Please use edit summaries?

[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits a summary may be quite brief.

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Adakiko (talk) 10:12, 18 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
