Orphaned non-free image File:Donkey Kong flier cropped.png

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Donkey Kong flier cropped.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 08:02, 10 December 2009 (UTC)

Missing a FPS?

Nice FPS chart. Shouldn't World War II Online be included? It is not a poplar of most of those listed, but it has been in operation for several years. --Flightsoffancy (talk) 19:09, 8 March 2010 (UTC)

Thanks. I'm glad you're showing interest in adding to it. Please do! ----BrightRoundCircle (talk) 21:58, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
Added. Phew, new feature learned! Anything needed different? --Flightsoffancy (talk) 16:44, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
Looks good, thanks for your help. ----BrightRoundCircle (talk) 06:30, 23 March 2010 (UTC)

Re: Spümco

I have rewritten the List of Spumco works page, from top to bottom, complete with references. Sorry that I have not replied to your message back when you sent it. I believe this is a more appropriate filmography/works list. Artystyk386 (talk) 18:33, 18 May 2010 (UTC)

Looks great. ----BrightRoundCircle (talk) 14:51, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

Ren & Stimpy

Thanks for the correction. I've never seen the episode, so I don't have any viewpoint as to whether they do this in the episode, as I did not write that passage; I just changed "snot" to a different word to remove the colloquialism. I've changed it again to "bodily fluids such as nasal mucuous...." Thanks again. Nightscream (talk) 04:13, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

Rasterized SVG from Hasbro

Why didn't you upload the SVG then? (Also, where can I find it?) SWFlash 15:01, 27 May 2011 (UTC)

"I am no longer working on the show"

Are you confident that Lauren Faust has left the production of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic forever? You at least make it sound that way. --98.26.95.53 (talk) 03:20, 18 September 2011 (UTC)

Nothing is forever, but Lauren Faust has left the show. See the direct quote of Lauren Faust in the title of the section that you created on my talk page in which I am writing. -BrightRoundCircle (talk) 16:55, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
It's just that what if she comes back full time? --98.26.95.53 (talk) 19:00, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
What if the world was made of pudding? Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. The article states Faust left the show. This is verifiable and cited from a primary source. -BrightRoundCircle (talk) 21:54, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
It still seems rather vague. --98.26.95.53 (talk) 00:39, 19 September 2011 (UTC)

You're right

I didn't realize at first it was a multi-page story. Good catch!--Tenebrae (talk) 15:57, 18 October 2011 (UTC)

The article can still use your review and improvement. –BrightRoundCircle (talk) 06:58, 20 October 2011 (UTC)

Re: "Later the same..."

LOL! It took me a while to figure out *why* it sounded so bad to me in that particular spot. It's because "later" isn't a preposition. However as a book title, on its own, it sounds alright to me. Graham87 03:14, 5 November 2011 (UTC)

GAR

Can you see if there's anything else to solve/add on Talk:Samus Aran/GA2? igordebraga 20:08, 7 December 2011 (UTC)

Slice of life

Thanks for the suggestion. Actually I was thinking about doing that. I'll create the list soon.--Cattus talk 18:51, 27 January 2012 (UTC)

Original research

Regarding your tags, had some questions about how to resolve the issues. Firstly, you tagged the part about Piers Anthony's books being the first known usage of 'alicorn' to mean winged unicorn. I'm wondering what the problem is with this statement. This is something we can amend if someone locates an earlier usage, but barring that, since its use in Bearing an Hourglass has been verified via GoogleBooks, isn't it okay to make? This is 'earlist known' as opposed to 'earliest' gets used, so that if anything earlier's known it can be replaced.

As for the 'has been used elsewhere, while this is true (wiktionary's located some old UseNet posts verifying this), I'm all for removing the statement since it seems vague and irrelevant. I also don't really care about its usage in the MLP community or the proposed 'close alternative'. So that those latter 2 you tagged could be removed, would it resolve the issue to export these statements from the main article into the talk page and analyze them there to determine if they're worth bringing back? But I do think the Piers Anthony thing should be untagged with OR, it's sort of a process of elimination. Y12J (talk) 04:22, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Frame rate, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page CRT (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Anime

Just view some anime stuff frame-by-frame, and you'll see that some of it is even animated on fours. Such a simply observable fact hardly needs a citation. Greetings, --Janke | Talk 19:04, 19 February 2013 (UTC)

You are mistaken. Please review the citation guidelines. BrightRoundCircle (talk) 22:16, 20 February 2013 (UTC)
If every single statement in Wikipedia would need a citation, the whole site would be rather much poorer, wouldn't it? Loosen up a bit, please, and don't be a "citation police"! Plympton isn't the only one animating on fours... ;-) Greetings, --Janke | Talk 07:30, 21 February 2013 (UTC)
It needs a citation, period. –BrightRoundCircle (talk) 19:05, 23 February 2013 (UTC)

Mr. Stimpleton and WP:POINT

Slow down, relax, and please re-read WP:POINT. My reversion of your early (and incomplete) closure was in good faith and I did my best to explain my reasons on the AfD. VQuakr (talk) 19:40, 27 May 2013 (UTC)

This has nothing to do with closure; the notice is still up. BrightRoundCircle (talk) 19:42, 27 May 2013 (UTC)

Re: Ren & Stimpy air dates

It's fine if it's stated in that book, but look at the episode count, which is supposed to be 52, plus the pilot. Please stop separating segments as if they are separate episodes. I will be recombining templates, as in List of Rocko's Modern Life episodes and List of Rugrats episodes. -- Wikipedical (talk) 17:19, 7 June 2013 (UTC)

  • Also, there are airdates that you have added that do not make sense. "Fire Dogs" and "The Littlest Giant" most certainly aired together, but with your revisions they have separate airdates. There are most certainly reliable sources other than IMDB that refute some of the airdates you've added. I have been using the airdates listed at Amazon and iTunes. -- Wikipedical (talk) 17:22, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
Between a well-researched reference book and a blurb on Amazon, the well-researched reference book wins. BrightRoundCircle (talk) 10:03, 9 June 2013 (UTC)

June 2013

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Ren and Stimpy (characters) may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 10:13, 9 June 2013 (UTC)

Just a quick note - I undid your WP:CSD#A7 nomination of this article. CSD is a pretty low barrier to jump over, and basically means that taking the article to AfD is a waste of time and it's totally and utterly unsalvageable. In this case, there is a little bit of reliable source coverage, not much, but possibly enough for a redirect to something else (maybe the main James Bond article?) I think if you still want to delete the article, you should raise a full discussion at AfD. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 16:11, 15 August 2013 (UTC)

Ren & Stimpy date

Hey BrightRoundCircle, I saw your edit here and noticed {{End date|1995|16|12}}. Since these templates usually go YYYY|MM|DD, My guess is that you meant {{End date|1995|12|16}}, instead but I didn't want to be presumptuous and change it. Was hoping you could clarify that. Thanks, regards! Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:50, 8 November 2013 (UTC)

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Causal loop may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

Hi,

I've reverted your merge which I am against. The article is highly cited, there are many types of time travel fiction time loops is defined. The inclusion criteria if you followed the discussion was any reliable sources which term the referenced fiction as "time loop". Please ping the article creator next time. If you still feel there are issues AfD would be preferred. Valoem talk contrib 18:15, 9 November 2015 (UTC)

Alrighty, AfD it is. The discussion clearly states that none of the citations are relevant, they are just citations for the existence of the films, not for them being about time loops. They might as well be in the general list of time travel works of fiction. BrightRoundCircle (talk) 07:41, 10 November 2015 (UTC)

I've reverted your re-write of my paragraph, because it did not seem to improve it in any fashion. If you feel strongly about this, I'll be happy to discuss. NewYorkActuary (talk) 21:04, 20 November 2015 (UTC)

There's redundancy and a parenthetical statement that doesn't belong in parentheses. The article has much bigger problems than an awkwardly-worded sentence though. BrightRoundCircle (talk) 10:58, 21 November 2015 (UTC)
Thank you for your response. I've re-worked the paragraph to use your second sentence in place of mine, and have streamlined the initial sentence by removing the non-essential reference to the entry's author. I hope you find this an acceptable compromise. By the way, I agree with your main assessment about the overall state of the article. Thanks again for the response.
