Katelyn Faber

[edit]

Could you weigh in at the bottom of the Talk Page for Katelyn Faber regarding the inclusion of an image of her? User:Tufflaw, who unsuccessfully tried to have the entire article deleted back in December 2005 insists on censoring/deleting it for extremely specious reasons, and I've been asked to gather a consensus. Please read the bottom two sections of that page. Thanks. Nightscream 19:00, 19 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You might want to consider the deletion vote of Category:Kurdish inhabited regions. --Cat out 11:49, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

List of United States musicians AfD 2

[edit]

Following my deletion of all sublists linked to List of United States musicians, a deletion review was of the opinion that all of them should be undeleted and relisted, because there were no AfD tags on the sublists during the first AfD. You may wish to comment in the new AfD: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of United States musicians (2nd nomination). Kimchi.sg 12:31, 9 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I see you have added this category to the cricket root and said it is "a fundamental top tier category". In fact it was already part of category:Cricket people which is itself in the root. The point is that cricket is not only about cricket players as we also have noted umpires, writers, administrators, commentators, coaches, groundsmen, etc. What do you think? --Jack 12:54, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's a practical matter. I would expect to find the cricketers category at the top level, just as the player category is at the top level for other sports. If "People" began with "C" it wouldn't matter much, but it doesn't. Calsicol 15:08, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. Fair enough. --BlackJack | talk page 20:00, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings! I had a quick question on this category. A couple building-specific articles have added this category to their pages. I was just wondering if they shouldn't be doing that, since there are city-specific categories for this purpose. Seems a bit redundant. A similar thing is happening with Category:Skyscrapers by city. I assume this is meant as an organization tool and not meant to be on individual article pages, unless it's an article like List of Vancouver's 10 tallest buildings. Let me know if I'm wrong! Thanks! -Rkitko 00:02, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Any individual articles added to those categories should be removed. Calsicol 15:06, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Before you respond to the canvassing of the above user, I would urge you to note the ongoing discussion of this subject here. This is not something to be quickly swept under the carpet. Deb 21:05, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Calsicol. I was curious if you would be interested in helping me expand the Bellerive Elementary School article which is currently up for deletion. Also, you may be interested in joining Wikipedia:WikiProject Schools if that is a subject that interests you. Keep in touch, Silensor 01:09, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sir: Can you explain why my category for deletion (Category:People from Haiti has been overlooked all day. I explained that it was an accidental duplication of an existing category (Haitian people) and that it is empty.

This is a no-brainer. Thanks, HOT L Baltimore 12:36, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Military brat

[edit]

A few months ago, you voted to delete a category:Military brat. It has been reintroduced and once again is being nominated for deletion. The discussion is here. I am contacting you so that you can revisit the discussion, but before doing so please read the article Military brat (U.S. subculture) as the term is not POV and is a highly researched subject. The previous discussion was done before I got involved, but I think you will find out that this is a credible subject worthy of its own category. Balloonman 22:20, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Image:1st Duke of Hamilton by Daniel Mytens.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:1st Duke of Hamilton by Daniel Mytens.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:58, 13 May 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Madmedea 20:58, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Women's swimming, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Women's swimming has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Women's swimming, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect CAMRA. Since you had some involvement with the CAMRA redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so). PamD 18:04, 27 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
