You are not allowed to edit Wikipedia while the threats stand or the legal action is unresolved.  Guy (Help!) 09:43, 4 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Specifically: this edit is a clear reference to legal action, couched in terms designed to chill any debate about the merit of the edit. I am very much in favour of following subjects' wishes, but when these are couched in terms such as yours they are, I am afraid, unambiguously unacceptable on Wikipedia. Request reason:

The edit to the Kat McNamara page was not meant as a legal threat or action in the slightest. I have been in direct contact with her and she has tried in vain to have the listing of Evan McNamara removed from the Google Knowledge Graph as he is legally not her father anymore and the listing of his name has been causing significant fear and distress to Kat. She had petitioned Google to remove the information but they referred to Wiki as the source. The removal of the information was meant to bring the Wiki bio in line with the court order that was filed years ago and to help stop a potentially abusive situation. That was the legal piece I was referring to, not a legal threat to Wiki. Please unblock me.CaseyMcCreedy (talk) 17:38, 4 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Accept reason:

I accept this as a retraction of any words that could be seen as a legal threat and understand now that it was a reference to a court order affecting the subject of the article and was not directed at Wikipedia or its editors. Liz Read! Talk! 19:32, 4 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

CaseyMcCreedy, in the future, if you want to make an edit that could be seen as controversial (like removing the name of a parent from an individual's biography that had been reliably sourced), please open a discussion on the article talk page. There you can present your reasons and it is preferable to having a discussion through edit summaries. Liz Read! Talk! 19:35, 4 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I'll also note that any record of McNamara's emancipation from her father will require publication in a reliable source before any further action is taken. This, however, will not result in the removal of Evan McNamara's name from Katherine's article, but the information about her emancipation from her father will be added instead. If you want to dispute the reliability of the publisher of the article used to cite the name of her parents along with other information, then that should be done either on the talk page or Reliable Sources\Noticeboard. Any further legal contacts should be taken directly with WikiMedia Foundation's legal team. —Farix (t | c) 22:15, 4 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Bradley Bundlie[edit]

The article Bradley Bundlie has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable actor lacking in-depth support. References are all just brief mentions of the actor. Fails WP:ACTOR, WP:N, or WP:BIO.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. reddogsix (talk) 18:34, 8 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. reddogsix (talk) 18:36, 8 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Beautycon[edit]

Hello CaseyMcCreedy,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Beautycon for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

A tag has been placed on Laurent proneur requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Information icon Hello, I'm Bovineboy2008. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Every Breath You Take (film), but you didn't provide a reliable source. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on No Escape (2020 film) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://culturecrypt.com/movie-reviews/no-escape-2020. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
