I wrote an article on the rock band Potliquor and submitted it Monday night; it was approved the next day. Monday night, I also began articles on 5 albums that the band released (First Taste, Levee Blues, Louisiana Rock & Roll, Potliquor (album), and The Best of Potliquor). I thought I was writing them in my sandbox, thus having time to perfect them before they became live. I erroneously wrote them as live articles (I am so new at this that I don't even know what to call them) and am having them flagged multiple times over the past 2 days. Two have even been deleted. Can anyone help me by giving me a re-start and moving the 5 album articles (even the deleted ones) to my sandbox where I can continue to work on them and then re-submit them? --Crodog54 (talk) 21:59, 4 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I've changed this to an admin help tag because only admins can undelete pages. The process at WP:UND might be worthwhile as well. --L235 (t / c / ping in reply) 22:28, 4 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The drafts are now at Draft:First Taste, Draft:The Best of Potliquor, Draft:Louisiana Rock & Roll, Draft:Levee Blues and User:Crodog54/Potliquor (album), respectively. I've also commented out the categories (since only live articles should be contained in article categories; that will be undone once the drafts are accepted) and added draft templates so you can more easily submit them for reviews. Two unrelated notes: Firstly, you'll need published reviews or the like, reliable sources, discussing the albums to establish that they are notable. Secondly, you may want to check out Help:Table for Wikipedia's default table style - it's even less code than going full HTML, too. Huon (talk) 22:49, 4 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Potliquor (album)

[edit]

Hi, I moved the article you created to your userspace because although the album does exist, the band who made the album doesn't have an article, and that should be created first. For assistance in how to go about making creating such an article, consider reading WP:FIRST. Have a nice day. Erpert blah, blah, blah... 03:57, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The main article about the band was approved today. How do I re-submit this article? --Crodog54 (talk) 02:52, 4 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please look at other album articles. You are doing yours differently than all the others. In addition, the articles need references. Without refs, the articles can be deleted. Bgwhite (talk) 20:41, 4 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on First Taste requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article has never existed, has been deleted or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. reddogsix (talk) 04:01, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please do tables correctly. Do not use HTML to make tables. I've already had to convert your tables twice.

It is much, much more common to use the template {{track listing}} instead of tables. Bgwhite (talk) 07:37, 10 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Help Request

I am still struggling with the issue of how to respond to flags and notifications that I have received. Should I respond on this page? Will it be seen by the editor who initiated the notification? Or should I respond on the talk page of the article I am writing or the image I uploaded? Or should I respond on the talk page of the editor? Also, on whichever page I am to respond, should I add a new section with my response or addend it to the notification? Sorry but I am struggling with the communication paradigm in Wikipedia. Crodog54 (talk) 17:57, 14 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Crodog54, sorry that you've been having trouble. I haven't actually clicked on the links, but for direct messages, such as the ones that Bgwhite left, it's fine to respond under the message. Linking to their userpage using [[User:theirusername'']] will notify them of the reply. For the FfD discussions, click the bolded discussion link to post your remarks. If you have any other questions, feel free to use the {{help me}} template again. Hope this helps, --L235 (t / c / ping in reply) 18:26, 14 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The "file has been nominated for deletion" messages contain links to the relevant deletion discussion. You are welcome to participate in those discussions; in fact, you have already done so. Beyond that there's no need to reply to those semi-automated messages that are merely meant to notify you of those discussions (and explain something about deletion on Wikipedia, for editors who aren't familiar with the process yet). Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:First Taste, a page you created, has not been edited in 6 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:31, 5 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
