Image tagging for Image:Caratula.PNG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Caratula.PNG. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Caratula.PNG)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Caratula.PNG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 06:06, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:250px-MichelleD04.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:250px-MichelleD04.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 23:35, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

Template:CSI character

[edit]

Hi, the CSI character's do not have a status since they are fictional character who exist in a fictional universe: the Universe of the CSI series. This was already discussed at Talk:Sara Sidle and at the WikiProject CSI's talk page, so please stop changing it.--Yamanbaiia(free hugs!) 10:07, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:GW161H134.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 14:45, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Please do not remove copyright tagging information from image pages. Wikipedia has strict rules on copyright: if you repeatedly break these rules, you may be blocked from editing. -- The Anome (talk) 14:49, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding Image:GW161H134.png -- you state that the image is "self-made", yet it looks like a screen shot. Please note that making a screen shot of something does not make you its author; its copyright remains that of the original copyright owner. -- The Anome (talk) 14:53, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for that. I've deleted the image. Good luck with your future editing. Regards, The Anome (talk) 14:56, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Kissgs.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Kissgs.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 16:39, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Kissgs.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Kissgs.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Melesse (talk) 16:57, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have tagged File:CSI_Lab_Wendy.png as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. Some examples can be found at Wikipedia:Use rationale examples. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags/Non-free. Thank you. [edit]

Thanks for uploading File:CSI Riley.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Hello

[edit]
  • Sorry I didn't let you know before, but I undid the changes you made to the 24 infoboxes. I undid these changes, as consensus was established a long time ago that status and family information was unnecessary in the infoboxes. If you have any questions, please let me know. Dates of Birth and Ages for CSI & CSI: Miami characters

[edit]

PLEASE stop putting erroneous birthdates and ages that often directly contradict what is already in the page (Catherine Willows & Nick Stokes. Your edits of both CSI & CSI: Miami with this info have been reverted. You have been asked before not to place extraneous information into the info boxes, especially since you are unable to cite the information. If you continue after 2 warnings, you may be blocked. Jorja Fox as main cast in CSI season 11

[edit]

Please do not continue to add 'Season 11' to Jorja Fox's list of appearances in a main role to the table on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. There has been no confirmation as to whether she is returning to the show in a regular or recurring status. Until there is confirmation, 'Season 11' belongs in neither column of the table.

Any further attempts to add it will be reverted. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wattlebird (talkcontribs) 08:02, 7 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Once again, she isn't main cast and there are press releases that are listed on theFutonCritic.com that have come directly from CBS that prove this point. So unless you access to information regarding Jorja's contract that CBS doesn't, it would be apreciated if you stopped reverting valid edits.Wattlebird (talk) 10:55, 20 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've requested protection status on that article. Please, next time, provide a source to cite your claim that she is a main cast member and not a recurring. Thanks. Jguy (talk) 20:08, 20 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello DM-AVENGER. I've read your recent comment that you left on my page, and I understand what your going through with Wattlebird. Wattlebird is a user known for constant vandalism and uploading copy righted images. This user never tries to reason with anyone else, unless they agree with him/her. When I undid Wattlebird's edits claiming Fox was recurring, he/she undid my edits without any discussion first, which led me to believe that a decent discussion with Wattlebird was worthless. I left several warnings on his/her page, and he/she still continued to ignore my warnings and post whatever they felt like posting. I precisely told him/her that TFC was not a reliable source here. And while looking over the CBS Press Release something still wasn't quite right. I looked over that site several times, but couldn't find any concrete evidence indicating it was unreliable. Something that really caught my mind was how other users around Wikipedia never used CBSpressexpress.com as a source for their information. So what your saying may in fact be true. I planned on informing Wattlebird how if an actor is listed in the opening credits, they are automatically listed as a main character with no questions asked. CSI itself and the producers have the final say which they let us know by adding Jorja to the opening credits. The article listing Jorja as recurring may in fact be outdated, thus making it unreliable. I don't really find it necessary to even discuss this with Wattlebird, for this user is extremely rude and never tries reasoning with other users. So the only thing to do now is to report Wattlebird. First, we have to find concrete evidence indicating Jorja Fox is in fact part of the main cast and not recurring, and it must have a date listed as well to when the article stating she is not recurring was posted. Once it's up, Wattlebird has no reason for removing it. If he/she continues, it gives us a rational reason to report Wattlebird for vandalism and edit warring. I will give Wattlebird a warning about the edit war, but in the mean time we have to find a reliable source about Fox's status with CSI. CloudKade11 (talk) 22:50, 30 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This are correct evidences that Fox is regular!?: [1] [2] -- 91.64.17.45 (talk) 15:52, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Images

[edit]

Do not upload completely different images over other copyrighted images. Instead, upload new images with proper fair use rationales. File:Lindsay Monroe.jpg, File:Stella Bonasera.jpg, and File:Danny Messer.jpg (among others) all have fair use rationales that refer to the version of the image originally uploaded by User:StAnselm. They are all promotional photos from the official CSI:NY website. Your uploads are all screencaps, which need to have a different fair use rationale. In the future, do not revert these images. If you want better images for the pages, make new ones.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 05:09, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
