So, I think that introduction to general relativity should be uploaded (or whatever) to Veropedia, but I'm not really sure about the process - the directions look a bit complicated for the non-tech-savvy like myself. Could you perhaps walk me through it once? I don't want to mess anything up. Thanks. Awadewit | talk13:49, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
(Assuming that you have made the account already:) Well, getting past the parser at Veropedia is extremely tedious to say the least. Firstly, the parser checks for links on the page that link or redirect to disambiguation pages. If the parser finds one, you need to link it directly before you are allowed to upload the article. Next it checks the category for any clean up tags or unsourced comments. If there is one ({{fact}} et cetera), you'll need to fix it, remembering to remove the tags when you do so. From introduction to general relativity, you'll need to replace links on: Isometric, Segment, Tension before you can upload. If you need further help, ask at #veropedia.(Don't worry if you accidentally crash veropedia. I've been trying to do that from the first day... Anyways, it's just more work for Eagle :p.) --DarkFallstalk07:12, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm. Well, it didn't work. I fixed the links and broke up some long sentences. However, when I was done, the parser said the diff had already been uploaded. I sent an email to the webmaster. Oh well, I tried! Awadewit | talk23:28, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Haven't been on much lately... been busy, eh? Hope things are going fine :) Oh, and by the way - I took a look at that draft of yours on Hudson Fysh. Forget GA, I'd say go straight to FA. Wishing you well, -- Anonymous DissidentTalk08:35, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Heh... has school holidays started for you? Anyway, I'm packing to go to Europe in the holidays, and have been busy with some other stuff. Essays can go to hell As for Fysh, I've only covered about 2% of his life so I probably won't get it finished for at least 3 months... then I can actually receive my bragging rights :) --DarkFallstalk08:40, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
School holidays? No, not for another 15 days :( Hope you enjoy yourself in Europe - will you be visiting the most of the continent, or only a few/one country/ies? -- Anonymous DissidentTalk11:21, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hi there, would it be possible for you to strike out that part of your comment? I'm sure the bureaucrats will know about Matt and Elonka's background without the RfA veering off into personal discussion of Matt, rather than Elonka. Tim Vickers (talk) 22:15, 7 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I want to thank Snowolf and Dincher for nominating me, those who updated the RfA tally, and everyone for their support and many kind words. I will do my best to use the new tools carefully and responsibly (and since you are reading this, I haven't yet deleted your talk page by accident!). Please let me know if there is anything I can do to be of assistance, and keep an eye out for a little green fish with a mop on the road to an even better encyclopedia.
Thank you for your questions in my currently on-going RfA. I would like to inform you that I have indeed answerd your questions and would be happy to see what you think to my responses. Thanks, JhfireboyTalk23:45, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. You fully protected this article back on August 28th to prevent an edit war. As it has now been almost four months, and the arguments on the talk page seem to have ended, do you agree that the page can be safely unprotected? Terraxos (talk) 21:32, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your support in my RfA. It was definitely a dramatic debate, that landed on WP:100! I paid close attention to everything that was said, and, where possible, I will try to incorporate the (constructive) criticism towards being a better administrator. I'm taking things slowly for now, partially because it's the holiday and there are plenty of off-wiki distractions. :) I'm also working my way through the Wikipedia:New admin school and double-checking the relevant policies, and will gradually phase into the use of the new tools. My main goals are to help out with various backlogs, but I also fully intend to keep on writing articles, as there are several more that I definitely want to get to WP:FA status! Thanks again, and have a great holiday season, --Elonka17:39, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Great success! Thank you for supporting my RfA, which passed with a final tally of 53-3-2. Special thanks goes to Shalom for both the suggestion and the nomination. I'm honored by the trust that the community has shown in me, and will do my very best as an administrator. Thanks again! faithless(speak)08:26, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
