Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Art agent do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Who then was a gentleman? (talk) 05:44, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
The article Salmon cake has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Wikipedia is not a recipe book. No assertion of notability for this dish.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Blanchardb -Me•MyEars•MyMouth- timed 01:01, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
Articles for deletion nomination of Knitting on airplanes
[edit]I have nominated Knitting on airplanes, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Knitting on airplanes. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

[edit]I have admired your work in several AFDs, I would be honored if you could join us.

I am very much interested. I like to support saving an article whenever possible, and I only support its deletion if it is really bad. I will be extremely busy this week, but next week, I think I will get into it. Dew Kane (talk) 22:24, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
Barnstar for your hard work
[edit]The Article Rescue Barnstar | ||
This barnstar is awarded to Dew Kane, for his incedible work in the bus route mass deletions.Okip 15:56, 3 April 2010 (UTC) |
- Giving a barnstar to you, after you altready commented in a AFD, is now considered "canvassing". Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#User:Okip_canvassing What a complete joke, worse this baseless harassment is by an admin. Okip 18:31, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for your recognition. I don't see how this can be canvassing when I already commented on all the London bus route deletions. I am shocked something like that would be up for deletion. I mean, I never noticed these articles before, but I have been on buses on London in the past when I have been there.
- I have considered writing articles on bus routes in Pittsburgh where I live. I do not see why the bus routes of a major city are not notable. They have decades, if not more than a century of history to them. I have been on some of Pittsburgh's buses before, and they have been in the news at times. I have noticed that other nearby cities, like Baltimore and Philadelphia, have long articles on their bus routes. Dew Kane (talk) 22:21, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
I suspect the script that does these nominations needs some work but you need to give a reason why you are seeking a deletion review. Spartaz Humbug! 05:56, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
- I did give a reason and out of some technical problem, it didn't show up. I have provided it now. Dew Kane (talk) 04:02, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
- Its a glitch in the script for listing but its always worth your spending time to check the listing when up correctly. Spartaz Humbug! 07:41, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
Deletion
[edit]If you want your arguments to be given weight you need to refer to policy and provide specific sources rather then simply asserting that they exist. If you don't then you will quickly find that closing admins will discard your vote when closing debates. Consensus is not a head count but an assessment of the relative strength of argument against policy. Also, the two DRVs you recently listed were both obvious endorses and it is not worth your time or that of other editors to raise cases if there is no realistic prospect of their being overturned. I'm probably not inclusionist for you to trust but Hobit, Jclemens, S Marshall, DGG and Tom Song are all DRV regulars with inclusionist leanings and I'm sure they wouldn't mind you asking their opinion on whether a listing is worth your time. I hope this is helpful but I honestly would like to see your energy being directed in ways that will count.... Spartaz Humbug! 07:40, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

Just an FYI (not sure how the notification works for responses to Afd), Bel-Air is not a Census-designated. If you would look through the American FactFinder maintained by the U.S. Census Bureau (as I noted in the reasoning), you can see it is not recognized by the Census in any way, shape, or form. If you have any other source, please let me know, I would be interested in seeing. Frank0051 (talk) 02:41, 13 July 2010 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:LOZDarknut.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:LOZDarknut.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:17, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
File:StitchHolders.jpg missing description details
[edit]is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors make better use of the image, and it will be more informative to readers.
If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.
