Ordinal number

[edit]

Hi, Doublebkkfc.

I am here to oppose about all my edits, added ordinal number, that you revert.

Because all of President of the United States wikipedia page have an ordinal number before their title such as Barack Obama, Donald Trump, and Joe Biden. In addition all Thai wikipedia pages about Prime minister of Thailand and Governor of Bangkok have an ordinal number too.

As you can see.

So I am going to revert all your edits, removed ordinal number, back to mine

Regards

Hi, @Doublebkkfc:.
Is this 2001:FB1:5C:A161:4CB1:9A9A:CF93:680D you?
I really appreciate any help you can provide.

Dear MayThe2nd, I'm not 2001:FB1:5C:A161:4CB1:9A9A:CF93:680D but I agree with him and also stop the edit war. As you mention, I think you can wdit and add an ordinary number on List of prime ministers of Thailand not to add in infobox. Because if you add an ordinary number in infobox you must add any number on any position. As you can see Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida, Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte they are all not have an ordinal order in their infobox. POTUS position can't reference on this wiki page caz this is Prime Minister not The President. If you have any question can ask me, Thank you. Doublebkkfc (talk) 03:31, 6 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, @Doublebkkfc:.

Thanks for your reply.

I want to oppose your idea and I want to share my 4 reasons about adding an ordinal number in infobox:

1. Like I have said before, all Thai wikipedia alticles about Prime minister of Thailand and Governor of Bangkok have an ordinal number. I know that English wikipedia is not Thai wikipedia but I think it’s better to have an ordinal number in an infobox

2. There aren’t any ordinal numbers to indicate on List of prime ministers of Thailand so adding an ordinal number in an infobox in English wikipedia article of Prime minister of Thailand and Governor of Bangkok would be better.

3.Sometime when people surfing the internet and going to read an article on English wikipedia people just read only an infobox of the article so if an infobox just have an ordinal number to indicate order of Prime minister of Thailand and Governor of Bangkok it would better than an infobox that does not have an ordinal number

4.If you said that POTUS position can't reference on this. It’s okay. So let’s talk about Prime Minister. You was giving 2 examples that were Fumio Kishida, Prime Minister of Japan, and Mark Rutte, Prime Minister of the Netherlands. Alright, I see your point but you can not say that any other English wikipedia article of Prime Minister does not have an ordinal number in an infobox because there are a lot of English wikipedia articles of Prime Minister that have an infobox. I will giving 30 examples below.

Here is the list of example of Prime Minister’s English Wikipedia Article that have an ordinal number before title in an infobox
List of example (in alphabetical order)
number in this list Sovereign state Prime Minister
1 Albania Edi Rama
2 Andorra Xavier Espot Zamora
3 Angola Paulo Kassoma
4 Anguilla Ellis Webster
5 Antigua and Barbuda Gaston Browne
6 Armania Nikol Pashinyan
7 Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan
8 Aruba Evelyn Wever-Croes
9 Australia Anthony Albanese
10 Azerbaijan Ali Asadov
11 Bahamas Philip Davis
12 Barbados Mia Mottley
13 Belarus Roman Golovchenko
14 Belize Johnny Briceño
15 Bosnia and Herzegovina Zoran Tegeltija
16 Bermuda Edward David Burt
17 Cameroon Joseph Ngute
18 Canada Justin Trudeau
19 China, People's Republic of Li Keqiang
20 Cook Islands Mark Brown
21 Curaçao Gilmar Pisas
22 Denmark Mette Frederiksen
23 Dominica Roosevelt Skerrit
24 Estonia Kaja Kallas
25 Finland Sanna Marin
26 Gabon Rose Christiane Raponda
27 Korea, Republic of Han Duck-soo
28 Singapore Lee Hsien Loong
29 Ukraine Denys Shmyhal
30 Vietnam Phạm Minh Chính

And a lot more. Above are just 30 examples.

In addition, the idea of adding an ordinal number in an infobox is not only just my idea but also other users have agreed to this idea too.

Such as Special:Diff/1090782691, Special:Diff/1090783017, and Special:Diff/1090783046 that was not done by me but done by other fellow wikipedian.

Moreover, there is an ordinal number in English wikipedia article of Phraya Phahonphonphayuhasena before my edit, you can see it here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Phraya_Phahonphonphayuhasena&oldid=1089938230

In conclusion, at least 2 other fellow wikipedians have agreed on the same idea (adding an ordinal number) with me.

I am open to hear your opinion. For your consideration.

Regards

Doublebkkfc, you had made multiple reverts ([1], [2], etc.), so I assumed the discussion at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Thailand#Prime_Minister_of_Thailand_and_Governor_of_Bangkok:_Ordinal_number_in_infoboxes? would be interesting to you. Sadly, you have not joined the discussion yet, while continuing to edit in other areas of the encyclopedia.
If you have lost interest in the topic, that's fine, but you're expected not to revert again until you have joined the discussion and found a consensus there. You may else be blocked to prevent further edit warring. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 11:42, 10 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
