Image Question

[edit]

{{helpme}} I recently uploaded a svg image, but it's not displaying. If I click on the image space i can see the image, but it's not showing up on the page or the article the image is used in. Why is this image not displaying? (image)

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can't seem to find any help articles on this. Draney13 (talk) 21:04, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The image appears to be corrupted. Can you try uploading it again? Hersfold (t/a/c) 21:06, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I tried uploading it again, and got the same result. I created the image in Illustrator CS3 and saved it as a SVG. Is there a special setting I need to use when I save as SVG? Draney13 (talk) 21:21, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There seems to be a similar problem with other images too[1]. I suspect it's a generic problem rather than a problem with your work. Give it 24 hours and see if the problem is sorted. --Malcolmxl5 (talk) 21:58, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Alt-N Technologies logo.svg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Alt-N Technologies logo.svg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:04, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:MDaemon-Email-Server-Windows logo.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:MDaemon-Email-Server-Windows logo.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 00:09, 15 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:MDaemon-Email-Server-Windows screenshot.png

[edit]
File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:MDaemon-Email-Server-Windows screenshot.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 11:50, 3 October 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Salavat (talk) 11:50, 3 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:RelayFax Screenshot.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:RelayFax Screenshot.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Salavat (talk) 04:28, 20 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:MDaemon Email Server Logo.svg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ‑‑V.S.(C)(T) 08:53, 24 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
