You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Edwin EdVanzd Morrow, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

  • It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
  • It appears to be a clear copyright infringement. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. However, even if you use one of these processes to release copyrighted material to Wikipedia, it still needs to comply with the other policies and guidelines to be eligible for inclusion. If you would like any assistance with this, you can ask a question at the help desk.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. —teb728 t c 08:46, 1 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

May 2013[edit]

Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Edwin EdVanzd Morrow. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. —teb728 t c 08:47, 1 May 2013 (UTC) Please do not add your name to cast list as you have in We Were Soldiers in such a high position. This is regarded as self advertising and will be reverted. Thank you, David J Johnson (talk) 09:43, 1 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

We Were Soldiers[edit]

Please stop your self-advertising as you have yet again in the cast list in the info box of this movie. Your contribution has been reverted. If you wish to make a contribution, please add to end part of cast list in body of article - as per movie sites. Thank you, David J Johnson (talk) 18:24, 9 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Why are you deleting my film credits? (i.e. We Were Soldiers) My credits are verifiable. Please explain.EdVanzd (talk) 18:35, 9 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have replied on my Talk page. Simply, you are again self advertising by placing your name far too high in the cast list. As you will see from the contributions above, your actions are not how Wikipedia operates and could result in a block. Thank you, David J Johnson (talk) 18:50, 9 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I placed my name under the actor I was paired with in the film, Chris Klein. Our characters' storyline was built on the relationship. It is a logical placement.
Firstly, Please sign your posts. Your contribution (if any) should be way down in the main cast list, not in the info box. Chris Klein is fifth on the official cast list - you are twenty-first. See the point? Also I repeat: you are self advertising which is against Wikipedia policy and may result in a block. Thank you & regards, David J Johnson (talk) 19:25, 9 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'm merely making sure the facts are correctly accredited. There are no added biases, such as using flattering adjectives to describe myself.EdVanzd (talk) 19:40, 9 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add soapboxing, promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. It is clear that your only purpose in editing Wikipedia is to promote yourself. You may have originally come here sincerely thinking that doing so was acceptable, but by now it must have become abundantly clear to you that Wikipedia is not a medium for any kind of promotion, including self-promotion. JamesBWatson (talk) 12:19, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

What is the difference between myself and other entertainers who are included on this site? All of my credits are verifiable. Why erase me from the history books? There is no grandiose statements made about me in any of my articles. Why delete mine as opposed to anyone else? Please explain your actions thoroughly and justly.EdVanzd (talk) 16:18, 11 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have replied in detail to your latest message on my Talk page. Briefly, it is against Wikipedia conventions to write self promoting biographies. You have also, originally, placed your name in the cast list for We Were Soldiers in a position which is not supported by the official cast list or your contribution to the film. You were not sixth in the cast list, but twenty-first!! Constant editing regarding self-promotion is not the way the Wikipedia community works and may result in you being blocked.
