Fixed them. For source, I just linked them to the Club Penguin website. I mean, nobody else knows the account Johnny 115's password besides my dad and myself. Quiet Andrew! The McCarvers are coming! (talk) 04:02, 1 March 2012 (UTC)

image troubles AGAIN

I have an image of the Kia K9 I am trying to upload, and it is called KiaK9.jpg, but it comes up with an error saying "no html blah blah blah." Could you please explain this to me? Thanks. Quiet Andrew! The McCarvers are coming! (talk) 04:16, 2 March 2012 (UTC)

Oh, and if you want, I'll try to make the CP images smaller. :)

I have no idea what would cause that error. Eeekster (talk) 05:06, 2 March 2012 (UTC)

Help with page

Dear Eeekster,

My page, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friendfin.com got deleted with the following reasons A7 (No indication of importance (individuals, animals, organizations, web content).) and G11 (Unambiguous advertising or promotion.). I provided the info for this website from a neutral point of view, not sure what else I could do to avoid deletion. Can you help me as to what portions I can modify/add/delete so it can be accepted on wikipedia? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rishik2 (talkcontribs) 03:49, 1 March 2012 (UTC)

Have you read up on notability policy? Eeekster (talk) 03:52, 1 March 2012 (UTC)

Hi Eeekster,

I did read notability guidelines. The only thing I don’t see in the article is “Significant coverage” but I did mimic the article by looking at some of the other articles like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meetic. As mentioned above if you could help as to what portions I can modify/add/delete so it can be accepted on wikipedia, I would really appreciate.

Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rishik2 (talkcontribs) 00:13, 3 March 2012 (UTC)

Template:Bsr

Hi Eeekster, you just applied {{Bsr}} to File:Lavergneseal.png. I've reverted this, as the template is unnecessary for a copyrighted image used under fair use. Yes, the seal is copyrighted to the City of La Vergne, but that isn't even relevant in this situation, since by default this would be considered copyrighted unless proven otherwise, whereas that template is for situations where a free use license has been applied but there is no proof to back it up. Away from this issue, I see you do a lot of image patrolling, so I thank you for your diligent work! Huntster (t @ c) 05:10, 4 March 2012 (UTC)

Can you should me the policy that says a legit source isn't needed for fair use? Eeekster (talk) 05:17, 4 March 2012 (UTC)
Um, I'm unsure what you mean by "legit source". It comes from the City of La Vergne's website, and is the seal used on all city vehicles, paperwork, etc...can't get much more legitimate than that. Huntster (t @ c) 06:06, 4 March 2012 (UTC)

Contesting WP:BLPPROD for article Tajama Abraham

Hi Eeek. I have contested the BLPPROD for that article here. Are you Ok with that? --Shirt58 (talk) 11:43, 4 March 2012 (UTC)

Attention Eeekster-bot:

Before you blindly slap {{delete}} tags on anything that you don't understand, take a look at it. If you actually bothered to check the context, you would have seen that it was created to illustrate (and helpfully solve) a display problem that appeared in a Route Diagram template. If you thinkyou can fix it with your eyes closed, then go right ahead.
And besides, by definition, anything from Wikipedia is by definition copyright free, so I have no idea why you think a {{puf}} would be appropriate. Useddenim (talk) 12:43, 4 March 2012 (UTC)

Re: your message

Hi, I am Anurag's PR agent, creating the page on his behalf. So it isn't an autobiographical article. Also, the references and links i have placed in the page can be used to evaluate the significance of Anurag's work. He is one of the upcoming authors and opinion makers on matters pertaining to the youth in India and his works are more widely read than some of the other authors who have an active profile on Wikipedia. Trust this clarifies. Regards, ~~Anandanurag — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anandanurag (talkcontribs) 07:34, 13 March 2012 (UTC)

Okay, but it's still a conflict of interest and very much frowned upon here. Eeekster (talk) 07:39, 13 March 2012 (UTC)

Michael Graziano, speedy deletion nomination

Hi, Eeekster

I am confused, perhaps you can clarify.

Michael Graziano owns the image Action map in monkey motor cortex.jpg. I manage his wikipedia page for him, and am uploading it according to my understanding of U.S. copyright law. He created this image, and has published it in several places, so I thought he could just publish it on a Wikipedia page, especially since it's about his own work.

Did I miss something?(quite likely) Or maybe we chose the wrong classification when we uploaded the image?

I would be grateful for any clarification you can offer.

thanks in advance

File:Irfan Salim.jpg

Hi Eekster. I wasn't sure if this image would fly under the non-free exception for "promotion," but when I got the notification, I didn't know if it was automated just because I didn't tag the article correctly. Was hoping you could educate me on the rules for non-free promotional images.

MUC16 Photo Deletion

This image was tagged for deletion for not adequately proving evidence that the assigned license was approved by the author: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:The_Structure_of_MUC16.jpeg

Below the license I added a link to the page the book was published on. On the left hand side of that webpage is the copyright information. There is also an option to download a pdf of the book for free, which has the copyright information on the second page. The actual image can be found on page 71 (page 82 of the pdf). Let me know if this information is adequate or if I need to do something further.

Thank you!

speedy deletion

You know, we all appreciate cleanup of real trash articles. But you seem to be a bit quick to pull the deletion trigger with your twinkle. I had an under construction banner at the top of my page, and you tagged it for deletion. You didn't read the page. You didn't reply to any responses I posted. The mods didn't read the contested deletion, and the article is gone. the article was requested in the "articles for creation" section, for christ's sake. It's people like you that make me want to stop even contributing. That article didn't exist for more than an hour or two before you blasted it. I was working on it. THAT'S WHAT UNDER CONSTRUCTION MEANS! How about you get off the twinkle addiction and make a REAL contribution from time to time. --RichardMills65 (talk) 02:46, 21 March 2012 (UTC)

If you don't want your "under construction" articles deleted, then don't construct them in mainspace. Eeekster (talk) 02:48, 21 March 2012 (UTC)
Well I'm glad you straightened that out for me. From now on I will ask your permission before doing anything.--RichardMills65 (talk) 02:52, 21 March 2012 (UTC)

File:VON-A caricature.jpg

Just wanted to thank you for looking at the photo and giving feedback. I am not sure how to improve quality; I think the problem comes from the original scan; what I did was make a screen capture of an online book. The original was not the best, unfortunately. Thanks again!Jacqke (talk) 02:53, 21 March 2012 (UTC)

Don't let it worry you. The tag is really just to let people know we could use a better copy. Eeekster (talk) 02:55, 21 March 2012 (UTC)

Wondering if you could please take off the warning about deleting the four photos on the National Polka Festival page. All releases and permissions were obtained by people in the photos, and the owner of the photos gave permission to publish the photos -- a copy of that email was sent to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. Thanks.

Eeekster, this is in regards to files: File:8-stage, single-acting, pneumatic telescoping cylinder.jpg. File:EHTC.5DPL Cylinder, 5-Stage.jpg.

Whoops, sorry, didn't mean to remove any file deletion tags. About the pics, they're ours. We make telescoping air cylinders. Being that nobody else makes cylinders with so many stages, there are just no other pics out there of an 8-stage s/a air cylinder or a 5-stage d/a air cylinder. — Preceding unsigned comment added by George Vasell (talkcontribs) 04:35, 23 March 2012 (UTC)

You tagged File:Puerto de A Coruña.jpg as it was a copyvio, but it is protected under CC~2.0 which clearly allows this. Please explain. DreamFieldArtsTalk 02:01, 25 March 2012 (UTC)

I tagged it because I actually went and looked at the license and your claim of CC is in error. Eeekster (talk) 02:25, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
no it is not. DreamFieldArtsTalk 02:29, 25 March 2012 (UTC)

No, it cannot be on commons. Read the license at the source. Eeekster (talk) 02:53, 25 March 2012 (UTC)

8-stage_single-acting_air_cylinder,_Ergo-Help.jpg‎

Eeekster, I uploaded a CC licensed version of the file, as Wiki was battling with me about the original file having non-commons file status. And...my newly uploaded file is now up for speedy deletion??? What's the deal, I thought uploading a free-use file is what Wiki does want? George Vasell (talk) 19:08, 26 March 2012 (UTC)

It's the company's file and previously published. Eeekster (talk) 19:10, 26 March 2012 (UTC)

Eekster, I'm confused by what you want, exactly. This is my pic, I took it, and posted it on my own website. Being that it was there first, I initially uploaded it to Wiki under copyright. That raised red flags here. So, here I am, re-uploading it under free licensing. Isn't that what you were asking for all along? George Vasell (talk) 19:24, 26 March 2012 (UTC)

Your website? Looks like a corporation's website to me. If it is yours, then I see a conflict of interest problem. Eeekster (talk) 19:26, 26 March 2012 (UTC)

What conflict of interest? The page is about telescoping cylinders, and only had a discussion about hydraulic ones until I came along, adding content about pneumatic telescoping cylinders. Isn't that what Wikipedia is all about, the sharing of information? Again, you asked for a free-share pic of the cylinder, and here I am with a free-share pic. George Vasell (talk) 19:42, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
