August 2014[edit]

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to Template:Micronations appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person or organization added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. Speedy deletion nomination of User:Emperor Hiroshi[edit]

A tag has been placed on User:Emperor Hiroshi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because this is a user page, yes I did write about my micronation on my userpage because I wanted to explain about my micronation aswell. What I don't understand is that my user page will eventually be deleted although it is not an article, it is a user page and I am explaining who I am and what is my micronation. Something isn't right here... --Emperor Hiroshi (talk) 15:22, 1 August 2014 (UTC)

  • For understanding, please read WP:FAKEARTICLE. Your userpage looks like article (infobox, pictures, templates, portal, etc.) and this is not allowed. --Yopie (talk) 15:33, 1 August 2014 (UTC)

"Wikipedians have their own user pages, but they should be used primarily to present information relevant to working on the encyclopedia. Limited biographical information is allowed, but user pages should not function as personal webpages or be repositories for large amounts of material that is irrelevant to collaborating on Wikipedia. If you are looking to make a personal webpage or blog or to post your résumé, please make use of one of the many free providers on the Internet or any hosting included with your Internet account."

Wikipedia is not for things made up one day is also relevant. You can find out more about Wikipedia at the WP:Welcome page and the WP:Introduction.
There is a specialised wiki for micronations at http://micronations.wikia.com/wiki/Micronation where you could write about your micronation. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 16:39, 1 August 2014 (UTC)
  • If you want a copy of the deleted text, I will be happy to email it to you. Wikia runs on the same MediaWiki software as Wikipedia, so that would help you write about Shurigawa there. JohnCD (talk) 17:41, 1 August 2014 (UTC)
