November 2018[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Bhutto does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! February 2019[edit]

Hello, I'm CaptainEek. I noticed that in this edit to Morocco–United States relations, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Captain Eek Edits Ho Cap'n! 06:33, 24 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

April 2019[edit]

ArbCom 2019 election voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:24, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

February 2020[edit]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. Immediate warning[edit]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia, as you did at Islamism. Please use the edit summary to explain your edits. You have been blanking material without any explanation whatsoever. ~Anachronist (talk) 16:16, 31 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

April 2020[edit]

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you remove or blank page contents or templates from Wikipedia again, as you did at Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. SovalValtos (talk) 06:06, 25 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Important Notice[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 month for persistently making disruptive edits. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Doug Weller talk 11:19, 25 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You have been blocked for a month due to your sporadic editing pattern, ie to get your attention. If you agree to use edit summaries and to discuss on the talk page before removing huge chunks of material I don't need to be consulted for an unblock. December 2020[edit]

Hi, I recently noticed that you have blanked the page Hisham Fageeh. Per WP:BLANK, users are not allowed to blank a page and in addition blanking might confuse readers. Instead of blanking, please use AFD, PROD, CSD etc to request deletion by an administrator. Thank you. User3749 (talk) 10:39, 29 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You have already been advised to use WP:PROD or WP:AFD. Content blanking is not the solution. LizardJr8 (talk) 01:02, 4 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
