Sorry

I um.. was looking at your ten thousandth edit... and I kinda reverted it... I didn't mean to, I didn't know what I was doing, so could you like... fix that? I truly am sorry, since I know that must have been big for you. Anything to ask or say to me, just stick it on my talk page. WhiteFox (talk) 04:13, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

Lol. It was not "big for me" - it was nearly-mindless cleanup/maintenance. Besides, reverting it does not change the fact that it's there. If your revert was a mistake, you should just undo it. EnviroboyTalkCs 04:49, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

OK, thanks. I'm glad you didn't get mad at me, but I wasn't expecting it either. You're just too professional and nice. WhiteFox (talk) 04:57, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

Oh and by the way, you can call me Whitefox. WhiteFox (talk) 05:06, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

One more thing. Where do I get userboxes, and hox do I build userbox towers? WhiteFox (talk) 05:28, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

See WP:Userboxes. That page contains all the instructions as well as links to the various galleries. There are a few templates for the towers, you will need to put the userboxes within those templates (between {{Userboxtop}} and {{Userboxbottom}} for example). You could also use tables but that's a bit more complicated and does not look as nice. Like I said, all the instructions are there. EnviroboyTalkCs 06:04, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks a lot, you've been really helpful. I'm off to go get some userboxes! WhiteFox (talk) 06:06, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

You've been so nice, you deserve a cookie.

LOL. I've been patrolling recent changes lately, and the disambiguation page for mohawk has been vandalized a lot. Seriously, I had to undo two vandals in a row! as in within a few seconds of each other! WhiteFox (talk) 02:30, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

No need for block. I didn't do anything wrong. I just edited UNVERIFIED/UNRELIABLE information. Citing a reference from a newspaper isn't reliable at all. It's a third hand information for god's sake! And you have the guts to call that reliable???!!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Duck You (talkcontribs) 06:34, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Enviroboy

I was trying to reverse the vandalism made by 68.32.1.62 and 96.3.154.129, however I am new to the undo feature, I have never used it prior to this. After I saw it did essentially nothing I reversed the edits manually, as seen in my most recent edit to the article, which seemed to occur at the exact same time as yours.

Sorry for the mixup! --ToyoWolf (talk) 23:32, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

I know. I realized that afterwards so I undid my revert. Sorry for the confusion; I already struck out the message on your talk page. EnviroboyTalkCs 23:34, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Haha, I just saw that, no worries. ^_^ --ToyoWolf (talk) 23:36, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Hi

I'm afraid I'm unclear as to what constitutes vandalism. I was under the impression that information must be sourced, which is what I'm doing, not vandalising. Little help?

--NewsEditor1000 (talk) 08:01, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

Okay, I'm putting my sourced info back on. Could you kindly retract your warnings from my discussion page? --NewsEditor1000 (talk) 08:10, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

Already done. EnviroboyTalkCs 08:26, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

No harm, no foul! As for unsourced info, do any remedies exist short of what amounts to blanking a page if nearly an entire entry is unsourced? Thanks!

Help with Finland's Top Model page Suomen huippumalli haussa

Hi perhaps you can help with this. Apparently user Akalucas has repeatedly vandalised various Top Model pages. This user violated the call out order section of Suomen huippumallihaussa (Revision as of 06:30, 15 May 2008) and Shameless and I tried to undo the damage, but it is locked (message: The edit could not be undone due to conflicting intermediate edits.) Please help undo this vandalism. Best Leopea (talk) 06:14, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

Re (many hours late). EnviroboyTalkCs 20:01, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
Hi! Thanks for the response. No worries about the time difference (that is, if you're outside of GMT+2 time) :-) Yeah, I figured it out and did some rework on it. I don't understand why people do what they do sometimes, but I guess that's life here on the World Wide Web! Thanks again and best regards Leopea (talk) 10:55, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

Vandalism?

Hi, I've been notified that my edits constitute vandalism and that I'll be banned if I keep it up. I respect the rules of Wikipedia, but this is confusing me, what exactly constitutes vandalism? I looked up the Wikipedia link, and this is what it said:

"Vandalism is any addition, removal, or change of content made in a deliberate attempt to compromise the integrity of Wikipedia. The most common types of vandalism include the addition of obscenities or crude humor, page blanking, or the insertion of nonsense into articles."

I'm not at all trying to compromise the integrity and there was definitely no obscenity, crude humor, page blanking or nonsense in my edit. Did I leave out an important step in my edit or something?

Thanks for all your help! I really appreciate your efforts. Remilyp90 (talk) 06:36, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

Your edits to Colt 45 are vandalism because you posted blatant, unsourced attacks against individuals from (what I assume to be) your high school and named names. Please see Wikipedia's policies on neutrality, and biographies of living persons. Your repeated posting of attacks violates those policies. As I said on your talk page, if you repost the attacks, you will be blocked from editing. EnviroboyTalkCs 06:46, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

oh please, people, get a life. this whole site needs a sense of humor. i read remilyp90's original edit, and it seemed like something i would really have enjoyed reading, had i known or been one of the people it mentioned. Amatuag (talk) 03:32, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Re. EnviroboyTalkCs 19:49, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

Hi Enviroboy, you added the {{Notability|organizations|date=June 2008}} template, suggesting the article should be deleted, then why didn't you place a notice on the talkpage of the creator of the article ? (in this case User:Arsenikk) ? Cheers Mion (talk) 11:29, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

Is that necessary? The article isn't actually up for deletion and User:Arsenikk hasn't edited it in almost five months. EnviroboyTalkCs 23:01, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
In my opinion yes, User :Arsenikk spent a few hours to create the article, i think least we can do is let him know ? we do so with images that get nominated for deletion. and read the end of the template : "the article is more likely to be considered for redirection, merge or ultimately deletion, per Wikipedia:Guide to deletion". The thing is, you don't want to add a proper reference yourself, so you put the template, you don't notify the creator, so he is not aware of it, in the end nobody adds a proper reference and the article gets deleted. As for not editing the article in 5 months, User :Arsenikk is around today, if you have questions about notability of the article go to his talkpage. Cheers Mion (talk) 23:34, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
Independent of who has done what, and not notified me about stuff that does pop up om my watchlist, I have added sufficient references to remove the tag—expanding the article in the process. Arsenikk (talk) 10:15, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
It is not necessary IMHO; the article was not actually up for deletion. If you believe that some sort of notification is necessary, bring it up on Template talk:Notability. The deletion process is much more exhaustive than you seem to believe. To Arsenikk: job well done. EnviroboyTalkCs 06:02, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

NUIX

Whoever keeps posting the corporate scandal information to the NUIX page is most likely a competitor, as such, they would apper to be in breach of your COI rules - Financial. The page was not created by NUIX, whoever created the page did so soley to post this malicious content. This would also seem to be in breach of your Vandalism edict?

Please stop putting the text back.

Are we having vandalism problem with this? (I am an admin if I can help) Mark Vaoverland (talk) 04:48, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

I am a little concerned because of the subject matter and the timing. But right now, it's nothing more than what the hugglers can handle. That may change tomorrow, when the sun rises on North America and there's more traffic coming through the main page. EnviroboyTalkCs 04:56, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

I haven't a clue--I just happened upon this looking at recent changes over a half hour ago. My best guess is that someone just plain doesn't like the subject, or has some other visceral reason for erasing the article. What surprises me is that this has been going on, undetected, for so long. JNW (talk) 23:07, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

Apologies

I got a message that the edit I made constituted vandalism. That wasn't my intention at all, I was only trying to undo what I saw as vandalism by someone else. It was election-related content stuck at the beginning of the entry that really had nothing to do with Socialism.

I'm sorry if this has caused you any inconvenience. I wasn't trying to cause any trouble.

If I come across another page that's been hit with vandalism, what should I do differently?

66.66.151.72 (talk) 05:11, 20 October 2008 (UTC)

I assume that you were using a different IP (137.155.184.44) at the time. As you can see from the article's history, another editor removed the vandalism moments before you attempted to do the same. You accidentally undid the previous edit, putting the vandalism back in place, prompting my revert and warning. Now that I know it was an accident, I will remove the warning from your talk page. This sometimes happens when two editors simultaneously try to remove vandalism. It's like a mid-air collision. EnviroboyTalkCs 06:23, 20 October 2008 (UTC)

Saying stuff on a talk page is not vandalism!

Hey,

You were just on The new black panther party. You deleted a perfectly fine section in it that I wrote and considered it vandalism. Why? Ryan1159 (talk) 22:46, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

Because this is a personal attack. Say what you need to say without attacking anyone; remain civil and your edits will not be reverted. EnviroboyTalkCs 22:49, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

Well, why did you have to delete the whole section? Ryan1159 (talk) 23:02, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

Apologies

I must apologize for the edited page about 'Stockbridge Hampshire' but as i know the village well and looked up the history on wikipedia and found the article more than a little amusing, and thought that some people with a ==sense of humour== would enjoy for about a day, i thought i would share the article. So i'm quietly impressed that there are people like yourself that correct such 'vandalism' so quickly and i'm astonished that somebody had so much spare time to create such an article. But as it has clearly caused offence with yourself and your clearly 'religious' friends i must apologize. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.105.195.24 (talk) 03:57, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

Brad Lidge is a Pimp

I'm not going to repost it because my intentions are not to vandalize anything, but I don't see how anyone can say Brad Lidge is not a pimp. He went 48 for 48 in saves this season and brought a world series championship to a city that hadn't had one in 28 years (not that they deserved it.) I don't see how his "Second cousins include Brad, Brett, and Bryan Hutchison" (which is most likely completely made up) is anymore constructive than the notion that Lidge has ensured his legacy as a pimp.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Txbelle17 (talkcontribs)

Well, Hillary was a strong Obama supporter in the 2008 General Election and she has been chosen as his cabinet's Secretary of State. She also explicitly said that she has decided not to run again, not in 2012 and not even in 2016. It seems a little premature to say that she is a likely 2012 Presidential candidate.
