Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Everybodyyy, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, visit the Teahouse, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! I do not have a conflict of interest with any article in the slightest. Everybodyyy (talk) 17:49, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Where can i see the deleted draft? Everybodyyy (talk) 18:14, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You can request that the deleting admin (in this case Jimfbleak) restore the draft and/or send you a copy of the content. If you want more help, change the {{help me-helped}} back into a {{help me}}, stop by the Teahouse, or Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 18:51, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please send me a copy of the draft or reinstate the draft, its not a COI. Everybodyyy (talk) 18:54, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please reinstate the draft Everybodyyy (talk) 21:44, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

How come I can't put fair use image from Spotify for Aliyah Interlude but the same case goes for Kenya Grace
ago
Look at both wikipedias. Aliyah's Interlude and Kenya Grace both have an image from fair use. Howcome Kenya Grace's wiki can stay that way but not Aliyah's? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aliyah%27s_Interlude#/media/File%3AAliyah_Interlude.jpeg https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenya_Grace One fair use image can be used on a Wikipedia if no other free use images of the person can be found. Also you claim the copyrigt status is 'uncertain', its a fair use image. It can be found on Spotify. A reminder she is an artist just like Kenya Grace. Everybodyyy (talk) 20:39, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You cannot claim fair use on an image of a living person since there is the possibility that a free use image could be created. This is stated in WP:NFCCP point 1: "Non-free content is used only where no free equivalent is available, or could be created, that would serve the same encyclopedic purpose."
Fair use images possibly being improperly used in other articles does not justify using them here. Meters (talk) 21:40, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable non-free use File:Aliyah Interlude.jpeg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Aliyah Interlude.jpeg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Meters (talk) 21:47, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Clearly I saw nothing wrong with it since Kenya Grace's wiki had been using a fair use image since early January but thanks for the clarification. Everybodyyy (talk) 23:30, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Aliyah Interlude.jpeg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Aliyah Interlude.jpeg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:03, 9 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

[edit]
Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

Yamla (talk) 14:17, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

1.The account has been blocked because of sockpuppetry which I knowingly engaged in. My other accounts were not active when this account was used and this account was not made to circumvent a block. It wasn't until after I made this account through a different IP address I realised this was sockpuppetry but I continued to use this account and that was my fault. I should have stopped using the account immediately and waited for my block on my other accounts to be removed.

2. The IP addresses are different because I made this account on a different IP address but it was not created to disrupt or abuse the platform. It was created because I didn't see how making an account on a different IP address would be a problem however I realised quickly that it is in fact sockpuppetry and take full responsibility in knowingly engaging in that.
3. This account has not made disruptive edits and the talk page is quite clean and is free of complaints. It never was created to bypass any restriction. My account was blocked on the other IP address and has yet to be unblocked and I didn't want to wait 3 months to get unblocked when I have clearly improved and am willing to understand the rules of Wikipedia. I won't do it again because I now understand Wikipedia takes sockpuppetry very seriously. I understand that many of my articles and edits will be removed and already have been.
4. I believe I should be unblocked because I am not a distriptuve editor nor did I engage in sockpuppetry to disrupt or abuse the platform. I am aware that I knowingly engaged in sockpuppetry but it will not happen again. If unblocked I will ONLY use this account from now on and I will NOT use another account or IP adresss to circumvent any block again.

Decline reason:

You'll need to request unblock from your original account. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 23:19, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Everybodyyy (talk) 15:43, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You need to request your unblock on your original account, User:Thatsoddd. And since you created this sock account two hours after your last unblock request on that account was turned down (for socking, no less), I can't see anyone believing your explanation. Meters (talk) 22:48, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That account isn't going to get unblocked because I have to wait 3 months. My contributions to Wikipedia have been constructive and I admitted to actively knowing that I was engaging in sockpuppetry. I however never intended to abuse the platform and I have shown that. Everybodyyy (talk) 23:14, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well, you are not going to get unblocked on this account. Meters (talk) 01:55, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I also don't understand why you think you only have to wait 3 months. WP:SO clearly requires six months from your last edit. So, no sooner than 2024-09-09, and only if you make zero edits between now and then. --Yamla (talk) 11:52, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
