A Note from Me

[edit]

In order to keep a running conversation, I will usually reply to any comments here on my talk page. If you are used to replies being posted on your own talk page, no problem. Just put a note about it at the end of your comment, and a link to your talk page, and I'll put the reply there (I'll probably put a copy of it here to, for aesthetic sake.) Happy editing, FerralMoonrender (MyTalkMyContribsEmailMe) 06:05, 15 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

A Note About My Note
[edit]

If anyone who comes here happens to know how to put the above note in some sort of a box, feel free to do so (in fact, please do!). I'm sort of new, so eventually I'll learn, but for the moment I only know basic formatting. Thanks, FerralMoonrender (MyTalkMyContribsEmailMe) 06:12, 15 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Hey, FerralMoonrender. Firstly, I wanted to welcome you to Wikipedia. Second, It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Wikipedia:Sandbox/World's Longest Poem. Please be careful not to remove content from Wikipedia without a valid reason, which you should specify in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Take a look at our welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. -AtionSong 18:21, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi, AtionSong. I wanted to say thanks for welcoming me a while ago. Also, sorry about accidentily deleting a huge chunk of the World's Longest Poem; It was one of my first edits ever, and I really don't know what went wrong. I think that that's a really cool project; you definately deserved the Barnstar. Thanks again. FerralMoonrender 00:24, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As I Lay Dying

[edit]

On the As I Lay Dying article, I managed to find some spots that imply character ages (besides the fact that Dewey Dell is definitely 17, based on Moseley's and her own last chapters). We haven't changed anything yet, just to confirm that these are the most likely ages for the characters. See the talk page for the discussion. Don't mind any grammatical errors you find in this! --queso man 21:32, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

for your contributions to As I Lay Dying, although I should've given this earlier. --Qmwne235 17:46, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wikimedia Pennsylvania

[edit]

Hello there!

I'm writing to inform you that we are now forming the first local Wikimedia Chapter in the United States: Wikimedia Pennsylvania. Our goals are to perform outreach and fundraising activities on behalf of the various Wikimedia projects. If you're interested in being a part of the chapter, or just want to know more, you can:

Thanks and I hope you join up! Cbrown1023 talk 03:13, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Looking for something to do? WikiProject Furry is improving articles on furry and anthropomorphic topics, and we'd like to have you on board.

Our current goal is to raise Anthrocon, furry convention and furry fandom to good article status and beyond - but if that doesn't take your fancy, there are plenty of other articles to work on. Give it a go and let us know how you're doing!

You received this one-time invitation because you are a Furry Wikipedian. GreenReaper 22:43, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your thoughtsa on my comments at the admin reform rfc. I wasn't heavily invested myself and didn't read any of the other comments either, I just felt like expressing what I thought and leaving it at that. I doubt it will get much endorsement, but it exists. Happy editing, Steve block Talk 15:46, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The simplest way to get such a list is by googling "in popular culture" -xkcd -wikipedia. The difficulty of this approach is that the references which come out may not necessarily be valid encyclopaedic sources.

The primary justification for this article, I feel, comes from sources which are themselves encyclopaedias. Britannica has a number of articles titled "____ in Popular Culture." I think referencing Britannica as an outside source, neither Wikipedian nor xkcd-inspired, consitently using the phrase in the manner you see in the article in question is most likely your best bet for demonstrating notability. Barnstar

[edit]

I could have sworn there was at one point a barnstar analogous to the US Purple Heart, but this works...

The Resilient Barnstar
While it's unfortunate that we haven't been able to fully accommodate each other, I wanted to offer you this Resilient Barnstar in recognition of the abundant good faith and wholehearted effort with which you have approached this situation. It's not every day that admin actions are met with such reasoned and eloquent replies from the very users effected by those actions. Thank you for that. – Luna Santin (talk) 02:55, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
