Hey
[edit]I'm going to assume that this [1] was an edit conflict? 47.227.95.73 (talk) 13:26, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
- @47.227.95.73: Yes it was, when I left that there I thought the talk page was not created yet. Sorry. GTNO6 (talk) 13:32, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
- Don't worry, that has happened to me many, many times, primarily because I have to add warning templates manually, so there is a chance another user will add it before me. It even got me blocked once. 47.227.95.73 (talk) 17:19, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
Micky Quinn
[edit]Micky Quinn is a former racehorse owner and was banned from owning horses due to starving them. The statements are factually correct. I question your motives for removing factually correct comments. Acb1878 (talk) 06:58, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Acb1878: "Horse starver" is a violation of WP:NPOV. If you would have formulated it better AND provided a reliable source for your edits, I would have kept them. GTNO6 (talk) 07:00, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
SPI
[edit]Hi GTNO6, this is to let you know that I have deleted the SPI you filed at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Favre1fan93 per the recommendation of the archiving clerk. Accusations of serious misconduct must be supported by credible evidence; if such evidence isn't provided, they essentially amount to personal attacks and may be met with sanctions. Please be more careful when filing SPIs in the future. Thanks. --Blablubbs (talk) 17:57, 8 July 2022 (UTC)
Accidental Block?
[edit]GTNO6 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
Welp, what can I say, this was unexpected. I go on a vacation, decide to edit Wikipedia, and see I can't edit, and a notice: "You have been blocked from editing Wikipedia." I originally thought I was autoblocked because of some IP vandal in the zone and the block wasn't anonymous-only, as that happened to me before. Then I click "See more", and I found out I was blocked, and see a template that reads: "Wikipedia's tehnical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely to prevent abuse." I thought, maybe I accidentaly did something disruptive? But then I read forward, and it became clear I was blocked because I was suspected for sockpuppetry.
But here is where things get tricky. When I search for an SPI case about me, I find no results, other than SPIs filed by me. No case in which I appear to be the sockmaster, no case in which I appear to be a sockpuppet. I haven't used sockpuppets, and I wouldn't really have a reason to either, so is there a chance this block was a mistake? Were I a victim of collateral damage? Thanks for anyone who can help/advise. GTNO6 (talk • contribs) 20:11, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
Decline reason:
No. There really isn't any chance that you're collateral damage. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 04:02, 19 July 2022 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- This is a checkuser block, a regular admin can't review it, only a checkuser can. Jpgordon did the block, but didn't bother to add a template. You can email the WP:Functionary team or use WP:UTRS for appeal, or a checkuser might just wander by. Eventually. I can't help you, other than tell you what I just told you. Dennis Brown - 2¢ 01:43, 19 July 2022 (UTC)
- I invite another checkuser to look at it; it possibly could be collateral damage. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 01:53, 19 July 2022 (UTC)
{{checkuser needed}}
Just to move this along. Dennis Brown - 2¢ 01:58, 19 July 2022 (UTC)
