Wow, you must be a big fan to take the time to make all those updates. Glad to see you made a user account. Maybe you can get involved in the NBA Wikiproject.Bassg☢☢nist T C 19:10, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You might want to consider providing references to the facts you are adding. This way they can't be challenged and removed. WP:REF is a good place to get started on how to do this.Bassg☢☢nist T C 19:13, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You also might want to consider using edit summaries so that other users can easily tell what changes you've made to articles. Chicken Wing (talk) 16:28, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Damon Jones

[edit]

If you want to update it, that's fine. But, for whatever reason, the Damon Jones article seems to draw a lot more silliness than articles about other players of similar ability. I have to revert a lot of "He was really good in high school" and "he scored 9 points on Thursday." So, I just thought it was another one of those kinds of edits. I won't remove it if you put it back. Chicken Wing (talk) 17:43, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Milestones for each NBA team

[edit]

Hi there, thanks a lot for helping with the Cavs team and adding information everyday, all the cavs fans appreciate. Maybe you can help with the other teams as well if you have time. Just want to ask where is it that you get the milestone information on each of the teams pages. For example player x passing player y for 3rd position on the rebound list. Is it from the game notes on each teams website? Sometimes the major ones are added to the end of the recap, is this the only ones you've been adding? Thanks Monster Under Your Bed (talk) 12:28, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Can you give me some sort of answer in regard to this query? You have been active, just any response at all will do, just to be polite at least. I would appreciate it. Thank You Monster Under Your Bed (talk) 09:01, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am not really sure how to reply, but assuming this is how...I am simply a Cavs fan. I have been keeping my own stats for many years (but I do verify them with the Cavs Media Guide). I don't keep stats for any other team, but I try to add things that I think would be interesting.

A tag has been placed on Quinn Mulhern requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. February 2010

[edit]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Quinn Mulhern. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 03:36, 14 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as on Talk:Quinn Mulhern, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 04:29, 14 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article KOTC Vengence has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable event, unreferenced, no significant coverage online from WP:Reliable sources.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. MuffledThud (talk) 10:00, 14 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on KOTC Offensive Strategy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. A tag has been placed on KOTC Arrival, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

I have nominated KOTC Vengence, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/KOTC Vengence. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Tony Lopez

[edit]

No problem man. I was glad to see someone had added him to the database. I'll tell you what I usually do when starting a new fighter, I find a similar fighter and copy & paste the details onto the new page. Then I just enter the info on the new fighter to construct the new entry. Also, I make sure to always save my work on my computer so - just in case someone deletes it - you have it backed up and your work isn't lost. Udar55 (talk) 15:17, 17 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Page titles

[edit]

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give KOTC Vengence a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into KOTC Vengeance. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. List of KOTC Champions

[edit]

I noticed that you are interested in King of the Cage events and have worked on several related pages. I'm sure it is frustrating to see other people propose articles you created for deletion, and can understand why you believe individual event pages to be notable enough to warrant a place on Wikipedia. Since consensus seems to be against adding pages like KOTC Vengeance, I wanted to suggest another way for you to contribute. There is currently no page that lists the lineage of KOTC champions, see List of KOTC champions.

If you were so inclined, you could create this page, using similar pages as an example: List of UFC champions, List of WEC champions, List of Strikeforce champions, List of Bellator champions, List of Pride champions. The newly created page would fall under the Category:Mixed martial arts champions. I see no reason why people would propose this page for deletion if enough citeable information exists for it to be created. For complicated pages such as this, it might be helpful for you to start the page as a user subpage, and then move it later once it is completed. People will leave it alone that way while it is still a work in progress. Please ignore this message if you have no interest in working on this. I just thought it would be a way for WP to benefit from your enthusiasm for KOTC and willingness to make constructive edits. Cheers. Osubuckeyeguy (talk) 04:19, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
