Sport transactions

[edit]

Per WP:CRYSTAL, we overhaul an article for a roster change after a transaction has been completed. The Cameron signing is still pending, and has not been officially announced by the Red Sox. Thanks. --Madchester (talk) 04:22, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Chargers roster

[edit]

Don't assume the Chargers' website roster is correct. It hasn't been updated to reflect the latest transactions and it has some inaccuracies. This is the second time you have changed the template to reflect the "official" roster; please do not do it again. Pats1 T/C 03:15, 18 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What did I tell you? If you try to change it again I will block you for edit warring. Pats1 T/C 12:34, 25 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Felipe-Lopez1.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 14:30, 27 February 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Salavat (talk) 14:30, 27 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

April 2010

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Baseball, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Muboshgu (talk) 22:34, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

MLB rosters

[edit]

Just a few more notes on what you were doing:

  • Your edit to the Rays roster left more than 25 people (and reinserted Elliot Johnson, has has been removed from the roster).
  • Matt Stairs has been told he is making the Padres, and the team has yet to make room on the 40-man roster. You are just deleting him for no reason.

There are other things like this on every roster you edited incorrectly. And this is besides the point that the roster reflects the whole 40-man roster going into the regular season (see Template:Arizona Diamondbacks roster as an example of a completed ready-to-go regular season roster). This is the only warning you will receive regarding your disruptive edits. If you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Baseball, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Fabrictramp | talk to me 23:00, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly unfree File:McNabb Redskins.jpg

[edit]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:McNabb Redskins.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Eagles 24/7 (C) 20:05, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edits

[edit]

Hi, it is very unnecessary to add "current playing" in front of "for" when editing the lead paragraph of NFL players. "For" implies that they play for that team, and "currently playing for" is too much wording. Please stop changing that. Thanks, Eagles 24/7 (C) 20:12, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Kris_Wilson.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. feydey (talk) 22:35, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
