Information icon Hello. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Riyad Mahrez has been undone because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Firstly you should not update the match 'live', and secondly you updated goals but not games, meaning the information was incorrect. Please wait until the match is over before updating fully and correctly. GiantSnowman 16:02, 24 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Stats in football players' infoboxes and update of career stats

[edit]

Hi.

When you update the stats in football players' infoboxes please remember that you should also update the timestamps as of when the stats are correct. This is done by updating |pcupdate= (or |club-update=) parameter when updating club appearances and goals, or |ntupdate= (or |nationalteam-update=) when updating national team appearances and goals. The easiest way to do this is to use five tildes, which automatically converts to the current time. For example |club-update=~~~~~.

When you update the career statistics please remember that you should also update that timestamp as well to a time when the stats are correct. This is done by manually updating the date above or below the statistics table. By doing this we show when the stats were last updated and it prevents other editors from accidentally updating the stats again.

This is done to show other editors when the stats were last updated and prevent them from accidentally updating the stats again, and also it shows readers that it has been updated.

Please keep this in mind. Thank you. Qed237 (talk) 15:16, 5 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

...and please update all the figures, which you didn't do at Harry Kane. Mattythewhite (talk) 18:38, 10 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Anarchyte. I wanted to let you know that your recent contribution to List of most disliked YouTube videos has been undone because, as stated by the edit notice shown when editing that page, all of the dislike counters must be changed at the same time, not one at a time. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Anarchyte (work | talk) 01:53, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Christian Fuchs

[edit]

Thank you for your additions to Christian Fuchs. However, although your additions were true and factual, you did not source them. Per WP:V (V for Verify), it doesn't matter if something is true if you don't provide a source. Some editors, particularly on pages about living people, do not accept any changes without a source and will undo it. I found a source and I put it at the end of his international career section. Hi, I just want to ask: I've already included the official source for the transfer, so I think my edit is legitimate and verifiable. Could you tell me why my edit is not proper?RainThunder0 (talk) 14:12, 31 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Infoboxes

[edit]

Hi. I thought I had talked to you about timestamps before. When updating stats, you must update timestamps to tell the readers when it was last updated. Harry Kane had not 19 goals All statistics correct as of 27 February 2017 (diff). Also if you had updated the date and scorer only, then all other stats in the infobox would have been outdated and incorrect as of the new date. For that reason we should update the entire infobox after each weekend once, when all sources has been updated. The fact that you reverted without any discussion after a final warning was not the smartest thing you could do and would have you blocked if I choose to report you. Luckily I am in a good mood today, so I wont, but consider this your absolute final warning. Qed237 (talk) 09:54, 8 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Re: HELP

[edit]

Not sure which of his edits you're referring to. If you mean the fight numbers under "No.", then that's how the table is meant to look. It was a format taken from BoxRec, and adopted as part of MOS:BOXING/RECORD more than a year ago. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 17:22, 12 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Well, again, I can see where he's coming from—he's following the guidelines at MOS:BOXING almost to the letter (except for the fully-worded months, when it should be shortened to "Jan" instead of "January"). It's just a shame he's not finishing the job in one go, but maybe he'll get around to it eventually. The format he's aiming for has been widespread for over a year now, per consensus at WikiProject Boxing. The extra column you're likely referring to is the fight number ("No."), which is a feature taken from BoxRec, and will often be different to the post-fight record column. That's why you're seeing the extra number. I'm surprised you haven't noticed it all this time.. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 20:39, 12 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Sergio Busquets. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia.
