Problems in *List of cities proper by population*
[edit](Comment moved from User talk:Batternut)
Hello and thank you for your comment about my edit. Citypopulation.de is my resource , because it uses true statistics and also true definitions. For example we want to see Mumbai city population. We can search *Mumbai*. Then we will see some pages of the site about Mumbai with different definitions. For example : ( Mumbai city , Mumbai metropolitan area and ... ). In this article we must just rank cities ; and no urban areas , provinces , cities and ... mixed in one place. Next problem is about statistics : for example *Shenzhen in china*. Shenzhen has about 10.5 million population in 2010. But you see Shenzhen population is about 13.7 million people in this article. It is because of my calculations for 2018 population. But what is my resource? It is Citypopulation.de Charts. They have very good information about change the population growth. If we use them we can find out most of china cities population growth from 2010 to 2020 will be 0.7 to 0.8 of their population growth between 2000 to 2010. Most of china cities populations in this article following this rule. Cities of other countries population growth is almost unchanged. The last item is it that if a city has census population in 2 last years (and sometimes in last 3 years (or more if that city has a low population growth)) I use it in the article because it is more valid.
- Now if You think I can edit this article statistics, please warn me until I edit it in my first freetime. *****

- I do not dispute that Citypopulation.de is a good source. The point is that your version here listed Mumbai's population as 12,680,000, but the footnote by it linked to https://www.census2011.co.in/census/city/365-mumbai.html, which gives the population as 12,442,373. Next time, please update the footnote (given in the
<ref>
) at the same time as providing the new figure. That way anybody can verify the information. Page WP:Verifiability describes Wikipedia's policy on this. And do keep editing (when you have time)! Batternut (talk) 12:50, 10 March 2018 (UTC)
- (Comment moved from User talk:Batternut)Hello Mr Batternut, thanks for your comment about mumbai. Please watch this part: (( Cities and Towns )) in this link: http://citypopulation.de/php/india-maharashtra.php You say true; Mumbai census population is near 12.45 million people. But it is for 2011. If Mumbai continue with his population growth (0.38 %) it will reach 12 777 000 people in 2018; no 12 680 000. (12.68 is for 2016) And Hong kong; It is a Special Administrative Region, no a city; and its center is Kowloon city. Thanks for reading this text, and have a good time. Geografi (talk) 15:53, 18 March 2018 (UTC)
- Ah, what you say about population growth is likely, but by no means certain - cities grow in different ways, by birth rates exceeding death rates, arrival of migrant workers, expansion of city limits, and so on. Anyway, even if it is reasonable to assume the same growth rate as in previous years, Wikipedia policy is not to accept such calculations by editors, which is termed "original research" (policy at WP:Original Research), but to rely on reliable published figures (policy at WP:Reliable sources). Regards, Batternut (talk) 21:05, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
- (Comment moved from User talk:Batternut) Mr ! You say true. The population growth is not Fixed. But so many of estimates are following this rule. And this population for Mumbai is based on its population growth axis and also India population growth. Geografi (talk) 16:11, 15 April 2018 (UTC)
- Can we keep this conversation in *one* place? You can edit your own talk page! While this conversation persists I shall watch it. If you fear I may miss a comment of yours, you can use the {{ping}} template, which will send me an alert. Batternut (talk) 19:03, 15 April 2018 (UTC)

Population of Tehran
[edit]Hi Geografi,
I noticed that you edited the article Tehran to include new (presumably up to date) population statistics. However, at the same time you inserted some parameters that didn't exist in the template, and therefore the population figures stopped displaying altogether. If your figures are up to date, please consider re-inserting them with the correct template parameters. You can consult the template documentation here.

While you don’t know anything about city definitions please do not edit this article. --Then please define 'city definition'. Thank you for noting my mistakes but at least I am sure that:
- Chongqing, according to the definition of city proper, should be at the top of the list;
- In China, sub-provincial city does not necessarily imply city proper (it is the status of a city), but prefecture-level city does (but usually includes its rural parts). A sub-provincial city has to be a prefecture-level city in the first place.
Base on these judgments and your edit, I suppose that you mean 'definition of city proper' by 'city definition' (Then why not use the word 'city proper' directly?). And, I think the definitions of China cities are still ambiguous. You might want to refer to the city district of Chinese cities by using the words 'sub-provincial city' or 'municipality', but they do not make sense as expected. When someone says 'Chongqing Municipality', he probably means its whole territory (despite that its rural parts are not direct-administrated by the central government); when you try to define the territory of a city using 'sub-provincial city', it doesn't make any sense at all. Use City Districts instead if you want to exclude its counties and county-level cities --H2NCH2COOH (Talk) 05:07, 29 August 2018 (UTC)

[edit]You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia by deliberately spreading misinformation, as you did at UEFA Champions League. Seem like you are here not to build an encyclopedia or contribute but keep making negative edits and double down on other's criticism by attempting to edit back the misinformation after already being erased.
Considering the last few warnings you have received, this may be the last time you will ever be on this website, be aware. 2402:800:637C:E051:3CB9:E7CB:B19:A6A3 (talk) 11:41, 12 May 2023 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Suggestions for UEFA Club Tournaments
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Suggestions for UEFA Club Tournaments requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about something invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - Hi Geografi. You wrote in that article's description, "This page includes suggestions for UEFA Club Tournaments and made by users. So it may include unsourced content." It would appear that this is an invitation for people to add unverified speculation about what UEFA tournaments may happen in 2024. If the article has already been deleted before I wrote this, this is the long version of why it was was speedily deleted. Shirt58 (talk) 🦘 10:40, 29 December 2023 (UTC)
