Deletion of St. John De Britto Anglo-Indian High School

[edit]

I have nominated St. John De Britto Anglo-Indian High School, an article you have created, for deletion because I feel that it does not fulfil Wikipedia's notability guidelines. Please discuss the issue at this article's entry in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. wctaiwan (talk) 14:14, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on George Libin requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. bonadea contributions talk 11:38, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

December 2011

[edit]

Please do not write an article about yourself, as you did at George Libin. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. bonadea contributions talk 11:43, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yohan: Adhyayam Ondru

[edit]

I see you've created an article for Yohan: Adhyayam Ondru already. Please read and be clear about WP:NFF and the links under that heading. Film articles should not be created until the film has officially been confirmed to have started filming. Yohan has not begun filming, nor does it have a set filming schedule yet. It only exists as an announced project that is undergoing pre-production work, thus, chances for the film to proceed production work is just as likely as the project to be dropped. In the meantime, other editors will want to submit the Yohan article for deletion. Please don't create premature articles about films like this again. Moving your user page

[edit]

Hi, just to let you know, you should not move your user page to another username - the user page title is connected to your user name. If you want to change your user name to Georgelibin, you need to request a name change at Wikipedia:Changing username -- please read that page carefully before going to this page to post your request. Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Nenjodu Cherthu, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion and appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. File permission problem with File:ShaalinZoya.jpeg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:ShaalinZoya.jpeg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Peripitus (Talk) 11:57, 30 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly unfree File:ShaalinZoya.jpeg

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:ShaalinZoya.jpeg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you object to the listing for any reason. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 20:31, 31 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Tara Alisha Berry, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Telugu (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi there, this edit causes me some concern because I can find that same content at IMDB and also here. Prose may not be copied or even closely paraphrased from other sources, they must be written from scratch in your own voice. See also WP:FILMPLOT for guidance. Note that the Wikipedia community takes copyright violation seriously and persistent problems like this can absolutely result in an editor's privileges being revoked. Thanks. Proposed deletion of S. R. K.

[edit]

The article S. R. K. has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unreleased film from 2009, notability not demonstrated

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. – Fayenatic London 19:36, 2 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ranjita Menon moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Ranjita Menon, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
