Hi, I'm Sulfurboy. GracePuff, thanks for creating Cyanoacetic acid!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. .

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Sulfurboy (talk) 13:44, 16 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Be careful starting chemistry articles if you are not a chemist ...

[edit]

It is satisfying to start articles on chemicals, but before you start, you need to know a fair bit of chemistry and you need good sources of information (books usually). You don't seem to know very much chemistry and the sources you cite are not good. For example, your article on cyanoacetic acid significant misinformation. That is cool, but my advice is just don't start articles. Instead contribute to existing articles or ask questions on talk pages. You can learn a lot by hanging around Wikipedia, but it takes time to learn these things. Good luck, --Smokefoot (talk) 01:30, 17 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

New chemistry articles

[edit]

Thanks for your interest in creating new chemistry articles. However, the subjects of all of Wikipedia's articles must meet guidelines for notability (see WP:N for details) and it seems that at least several of the articles you have started do not meet the criteria and may be deleted. Before starting any new articles, it would be a good idea to ask the others chemists around here at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Chemicals beforehand and only create new articles if there is consensus to do so.
