Fire Emblem Characters[edit]

Sorry for deleting the characters on the main article page, I shouldn't have done that and I reverted it. However, the ones on List of characters in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance were unnecessary - they should be merged into List of minor characters in the Fire Emblem series, an article which is intended to be a repository of all character knowledge. That article had a duplication of the information already in your article, which should be merged with your information. However, a separate page is unnecessary when that page holds all of the minor character info, and the main article page can hold the major info.--Zxcvbnm 17:25, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, and no problem. The sudden changes came as a shock, but I can see where you're coming from. I appreciate your help. --Hailinel 08:28, 19 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image Tagging for Image:FEWii1.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:FEWii1.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Thanks for pointing out that I needed to discuss the edits I made to Fire Emblem beforehand (it was a brainfart, I swear :) ). I've since made a note on it at the relevant Talk page, and would appreciate your comments on it. RandyWang (raves/rants) 03:25, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fire Emblem editors[edit]

So, because we're the coolest Fire Emblem editors in the world, we should collaborate and dig the Fire Emblem articles out of the disrepair that they've fallen into.

Should we start a Wikiproject Fire Emblem!???!? How do you make a Wikiproject? Axem Titanium 20:39, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A Wikiproject specific to Fire Emblem might help, but I'm not sure how those get off of the ground. I do know that it would need more than just one or two people to be truly effective, though.--Hailinel 00:19, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
True. We should gather interest or something. Axem Titanium 07:54, 2 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fire Emblem: The Goddess of Dawn[edit]

This is the OFFICIAL translation, as stated by Nintendo Power. It's not the final name, but they have said that is the official translation (and what the average English user would look for since it's the only name used by the media). Your only arguement was that it's not official, which I just disproved. So please either move it back or give a good reason why I shouldn't move it back tomorrow. TJ Spyke 07:21, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You haven't disproved anything. If it's not the final name of the game, then it's not really that official, is it? It's just a direct translation. I also can't say that I've read the name "Goddess of Dawn" in many sources outside of Wikipedia. Maybe if you could point me towards more, I'd believe you.--Hailinel 07:24, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's not the final name, but it IS the official English name for now. Besides Nintendo Power (which should be enough):[www.1up.com/do/previewPage?cId=3153633 1UP] (one of the most respected game sites) calls it that, Neoseeker, QJ.net, Eurogamer.net, allrpg.com, GAF, ownage.nl, Gamers Platform, Jeuxvido.tv GameSpy. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by TJ Spyke (talkcontribs) 07:41, 8 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Major editing, Elincia[edit]

Yeah, you could have consulted me about this one, you've basically rewritten it to suit you and removed valid contributions and statements. I commend you for contributing to FE articles, but a little consultation in the discussion page wouldn't go a miss. Ashnard talk 10:07, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You might not like hearing this, but the article as written before was a mess and lacked an encyclopedic tone. Wikipedia is all about improving articles through multiple contributions, so if I hadn't done it, someone else likely would have.--Hailinel 15:01, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
My actual point was that you edited without entering any discussion or advice (I've only been here a couple of days). You've missed my point. Ashnard talk 08:34, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
A mess!? That is harsh! Ok, let's see: My entry "Through the process of recapturing Crimea, Elincia becomes more confident and assertive, as opposed to the shy princess at the start, who confessed she had lead a sheltered life. Her apparent meek persona at the start is probably due to her total lack of experience of common life, it was never expected that circumstance would force her out of the royal lifestyle. And yours: "At the beginning of the game, she is meek and unsure of the world around her due to her lack of worldly experience, but through the process of recapturing Crimea, she gradually becomes more confident and assertive".

Can you tell me what's wrong with mine (maybe I shouldn't have used the word probably). Did it really justify a rewrite? Ashnard talk 08:56, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not every edit needs discussion. Wikipedia's guidelines recommend that editors be bold in that regard. The reason I edited the Elincia article the way I did was because it simply didn't read well as an encyclopedia entry. The History section was crammed together in a single paragraph, and the article as a whole contained too much in the way of flowery text. Wikipedia articles are supposed to be written in the tone of an encyclopedia; informative and detailed, but detached with a neutral point of view. The Elincia article didn't read that way to me, and so I rewrote portions of it to better fit what was expected of it. If you disagree with my edit, that's when the article's talk page comes into play. If there's an edit you don't like, you can call for a public discussion regarding it there so it isn't limited to the two of us.--03:19, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
Fair play, eventhough I disagree with your critique on the page, I hoped you point out specific points using evidence. I never lost my NPOV. I didn't write anything on discussion because I doubt anyone would notice it or respond to it. Anyway, my main point was that you didn't put anything on the discussion page after such a major edit, please can you state why next time after such a major edit. License tagging for Image:Tetris DX Box Art.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Tetris DX Box Art.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 19:13, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Tetris_DX_Box_Art.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Tetris_DX_Box_Art.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. cohesion 01:17, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Anime Discovery Project, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Giggy UCP 00:09, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of List of Valkyrie Profile characters[edit]

I have nominated List of Valkyrie Profile characters, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Valkyrie Profile characters. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Judgesurreal777 (talk) 16:54, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Hailinel! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 938 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:
