Hi, I don't understand how the places that I updated with GNIS information could have even existed as pages previously then because their only source was GNIS. I work in the locality of these villages and hamlets and am working to increase public knowledge on each place. Unincorporated places in Shenandoah County

Hi Hinkle016, I am confused by your edit summaries reverting my edits to the Shenandoah County, Virginia, infobox. You state, "The source I provide is valid...", but I see no source mentioned in the related articles that states that a community is a "thorp", "hamlet", or "village". Also, please familiarize yourself with the concept of a navbox: WP:NAV. Navboxes are meant to group articles together that share a related theme, in this case being locations in Shenandoah County. There is no reason to list any article more than once in the navbox, because the purpose of the navbox is simply to make readers aware that a related article exists. Having nearly every community in the county listed more than once clutters the navbox and makes it more difficult to serve its purpose, which is navigation.
