97198 (talk) 03:04, 13 April 2017 (UTC)Thanks for starting this article. After reading your draft I felt inspired to expand it into a more complete biography, and now I have nominated it for Wikipedia's "did you know" section—so hopefully it will appear on the Main Page in due course. 97198 (talk) 07:35, 13 April 2017 (UTC)
DYK for Christian Hamburger
[edit]On 3 May 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Christian Hamburger, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that after Christian Hamburger oversaw her sex reassignment, Christine Jorgensen chose her new name in his honor? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Christian Hamburger. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Christian Hamburger), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Things to note about short descriptions
[edit]Hi! Thank you for adding short descriptions to Muskegon Lassies, United States Senate Library, and University of Detroit Stadium, but I had to edit them to meet current guidelines regarding short descriptions on Wikipedia. A few things to take note of next time:
- Short descriptions should be short, since they are meant to be a quick way of distinguishing between similarly named articles in the search box. Usually, short descriptions are less than 40 characters long, and those longer than 100 characters (like the ones you added) are flagged for attention.
- Short descriptions shouldn't repeat information in the title. They are meant to add extra information that is not given in the title to help readers.
- Short descriptions shouldn't have a full stop and usually aren't full sentences. More commonly, they are noun phrases, like "British footballer" or "University in South Africa", again due to requirements for conciseness.
Hope this cleared things up a bit! More information can be found on Wikipedia:Short description. Additionally, if you want to help out more with short descriptions, consider joining Wikipedia:WikiProject Short descriptions! There's still a huge backlog of articles without short descriptions and extra help would be appreciated. Good luck with your future editing! Liu1126 (talk) 16:37, 11 May 2023 (UTC)
