Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Great Britain at the 2018 Winter Paralympics, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Gary Smith and Kelly Gallagher (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:29, 4 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia!

Hello, InterestedInAnything. Welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for your contributions. My name is Howicus, and I've been an editor here for some time. Here are a few links to pages you might find helpful:

If you're working on creating a new article, you should take a look at this page on your first article, and use the article wizard here to get started. Also, this page has instructions on how to cite sources, complete with videos.

If all this Wikicode is a little overwhelming, this cheatsheet may help untangle it.

If you're looking for a tutorial of sorts, The Wikipedia Adventure is a good option.

And if you need more help, I'd recommend asking at the Teahouse (a help page for new users). Or, you could try getting live help at the Wikipedia help chat channel: click here to join. Additionally, you could ask me on my talk page, or click here to ask for help here on your talk page and a volunteer will visit you here shortly

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. Again, welcome, and have fun editing! Howicus (Did I mess up?) 03:33, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A note about the edit to Trischa Zorn that I reverted: according to the article 1984 Summer Paralympics, it seems that Zorn would have competed in New York, since she is blind. I'm sorry I gave you a warning about unconstructive editing; you made an honest mistake, and I reverted too quickly. Howicus (Did I mess up?) 03:33, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hello, i have just found out I have been blocked. I have not had a notification to tell me this or to tell me why but when i tried to edit an article apparently it is for 'disruptive editing'. I fail to see how my edits have been disruptive so any insight to this would be appreciated. I will definitely try to better my edits to Wikipedia and try to make them more informative and far from what could be called 'disruptive'. Thanks for any help. (InterestedInAnything (talk) 05:21, 9 March 2018 (UTC))[reply]

Decline reason:

Pretty clear to me that your edits were disruptive. If you can't see it, it would be inappropriate to unblock you. You are welcome to ask the blocking admin to elaborate, though. Yamla (talk) 12:11, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Hello, I would like if i could be unblocked as now that i have read over some articles about disruptive editing i have found some of my actions to be wrong. Now that I have understood how i was wrong, i asure you that I will most definitely get my act together and clean up my edits. Also, if anybody has any further insight to offer me I would be very grateful. But the point i would like to get across it that i will definitely be changing my ways Thank you so much to anybody who reads this, I appreciate any help that you can give thanks. Decline reason:

I'm sorry, but this is unhelpfully vague. You will need to specify which of your actions you found to be wrong and how you'll change your ways. Otherwise there's no way to tell that the problems with your old edits that you see are indeed the ones that led to the block. Huon (talk) 02:12, 10 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I would like to be unblocked as now that i have read over some articles about disruptive editing i have found some of my actions like on the article Trischa Zorn, I edited 'New York' to be 'Stoke Mandeville', which was wrong. Now that I know where I have gone wrong and seen what is a consequence of this, i asure you that I will most definitely get my act together and clean up my edits. I cannot stress enough how much i will definitely be changing my ways Thank you so much to anybody who reads this, I appreciate any help that you can give thanks (InterestedInAnything (talk) 02:21, 10 March 2018 (UTC))[reply]

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Also, what other user names have you been editing with? --Dlohcierekim (talk) 03:04, 10 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to stress my point that I will change my ways on wikipedia for the better and make useful edits to pages. As for the 'multiple accounts' that have been associated with me, the IP address that I am on shares a ridiculous amount of people, too many if you ask me, but i can't stress to you enough that I want to do good here on Wikipedia! I don't want to edit Wikipedia disruptively! I only want to do good here! Thanks to anyone who reads this I will appreciate any help given, Thank You (InterestedInAnything (talk) 03:40, 11 March 2018 (UTC))[reply]

This is now a CheckUser block, as you have been confirmed to be editing multiple accounts per above. I am declining to unblock, and revoking talk page access as this is now your 5th unsuccessful unblock attempt, and you have not addressed the reasons for your block. Should you wish to appeal, you may do so by contacting the Arbitration Committee at arbcom-l@lists.wikimedia.org. TonyBallioni (talk) 04:24, 11 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
