Recent edit to Brian Henson

[edit]

Hello. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person (Brian Henson), but that you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Materialscientist (talk) 10:22, 3 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Shellwood. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —specifically this edit to James Roosevelt (lawyer)— because it did not appear constructive. Edits to article about Cyril Holland

[edit]

Hi Jacob Dragon, Twice you have added middle names to both Cyril's birth name and later given name, but unfortunately you have not added any cited references from reliable sources to support these changes, nor are these names reflected in the existing references cited in that wiki article. It is for these reasons that your edits were reverted each time.

If you know of a reliable source that we can cite to support these names, feel free to add the information again with a cited reference. If you are unsure of how to do so feel free to drop me a message on my talk page and I will help you with what I can. Cheers! Marchijespeak/peek 18:08, 4 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to Brian Doyle-Murray. Thank you. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 08:52, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Please stop changing peoples' names without a source. If you don't understand how to add a citation, please see this guide. The problem is that we don't know whether your edits are correct. You need to cite where you learned this information. If you have difficulty finding or citing sources, please seek help at the teahouse, our forum for new users. We have many users who will be willing to assist you. You can also contact me on my talk page, and I will try to help. But, please, do not change anyone else's name without citing a source. Please stop adding unreferenced or poorly referenced biographical content, especially if controversial, to articles or any other Wikipedia page, as you did at Kris Kristofferson. Content of this nature could be regarded as defamatory and is in violation of Wikipedia policy. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Alexander Hamilton (general). Jebcubed (talk) 19:44, 20 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
