- Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or sock puppetry.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Deliberately adding such content or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of J. K. Haugen, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.smashwords.com/profile/view/jkhaugen.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) CorenSearchBot (talk) 19:42, 1 May 2014 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of J. K. Haugen
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on J. K. Haugen requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Anupmehra -Let's talk! 19:51, 1 May 2014 (UTC)

[edit] Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at J._K._Haugen. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. You deleted my author and book series page and I find it offensive that they would do so...
[edit]As an author, My books in the J.K. Haugen's Lost Scrolls Series, have sold a significant amount of copies world wide. I simply wanted to have a Wikipedia page that showed these accomplishments. Just as authors such as H. G. Wells and J.K. Rowlings. However just because someone else has not taken the time to creat a J. K. Haugen page is not proof that these accomplishments are not "Genuinely Notable"... It is Offensive that some unknown editor decided that my accomplishments as a professional writer were not significant enough to publish on Wikipedia and without warning deleted a page that I worked on the entire day... You should be ashamed, treating someone like that!
- Hello Jason Haugen - Thanks for your kind words. You were notified on your user talk page (this page) about articles written by you, to be deleted soon (deletion notices are still displaying above this section). Well, how notability is determined? Just because you think so, does not really make either your or your works notable. Please have a look at Wikipedia notability guideline. If I have to explain notability on Wikipedia in one line, it'd be, significant coverage in the multiple secondary, independent and reliable sources. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. You may create a personal blog or something similar, to host you or your credentials online. Wikipedia is not Blog. H. G. Wells and J.K. Rowling have their Wikipedia article/s, because they satisfy Wikipedia notability standard, and you apparently NOT. Hope, it does help. Have a good time. - before the page was deleted, so my comment about not having warning, I suppose, should have said non-sufficient warning, (Would have been nice to be able to copy and save the information, before deletion.) And given enough time, I could have certainly given multiple 2nd, 3dr party independant reliable sources of my significant accomplishments in book sales, readership, articles written about me and my books, also TV and news interviews and more... but now in order to do that I have to create an entirely new page, because I was not given enough time to do that. Had I understood that I would work on a page for an entire day and then have it deleted within minutes, I certainly would have never stared!
- @Jasonhaugen: Yes, you should have read and understand Wikipedia first. If you had started with WP:Article Wizard not directly main space, your work was still available, this very moment. You can still create a submission page and submit it for review by experienced editors. If found, accordingly Wiki standards, it'd be accepted otherwise declined with some comments from reviewers to improve the submission page (it'd not be deleted this way!). Read and understand, how stuffs work, before making a claim. There it is clearly written, if user chooses to create an article directly in the main space, not in accordance with Wiki standards, it'd be deleted right way! Well, you did not read that, is it still a Wikipedia problem? And, speedy deletion works the way, as the name interprets. Do not create non-notable (we call it, wp:spam) articles directly in the main space.
- And, please sign your posts typing four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your posts. It'd generate your signature with date and time. Thank you! Anupmehra -Let's talk! 22:16, 1 May 2014 (UTC)
