You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Pete's Dueling Piano Bar, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Disclosure of employment

[edit]
Information icon

Hello Jbmcallister. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, such as the edit you made to Draft:Pete's Dueling Piano Bar, and that you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to Black hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Jbmcallister. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Jbmcallister|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, please do not edit further until you answer this message. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 18:19, 7 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello - I'm not being compensated directly or indirectly for these edits.Thanks and any suggestions are welcome```` (talk) 18:57, 7 May 2018 (UTC).[reply]

There is off-wiki evidence to suggest that you have an association with this business. At the very least you have a conflict of interest which should be disclosed before making any further edits about this topic. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 16:22, 11 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, I"m not sure I understand, you asked if I was getting compensated, I"m not. I do have an associate, but that is not what was addressed. How do I go about listing on Wikapedia? I apologize, but most people organization that are listed on here have to have some sort of association in order to have all the information. 2602:301:777C:DA80:31AF:DE89:B439:F58A (talk) 16:07, 12 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Very well. If you say that you're not being compensated for your writing, then we must assume good faith and take your word for it. Even so, it's best for you to be transparent about your connection to the business. If you decide to make edits about it in the future, please place the following code on your user page (User:Jbmcallister):
{{UserboxCOI
|1=Pete's Dueling Piano Bar
}}
As to your assertion that most people need to have an association with a topic in order to have all the information... that is not correct. Wikipedia articles are about notable topics - those that have gained sufficiently significant attention by the world at large and over a period of time, and are not outside the scope of Wikipedia. We consider evidence from reliable and independent sources to gauge this attention.
If a topic requires some kind of inside knowledge, then it is almost certainly not notable enough to deserve an article. On the other hand, if a topic is truly notable, then a person with no association or previous exposure to it should be able write an article based on the previously published writings they find about it. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 15:10, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

So place all of this? It's saying the page doesn't exist.

Use everything that is inside (but not including) the <pre> tags. Your user page doesn't exist currently, but it will exist once you put the content in the edit window and click Publish Changes. Also, it appears that you are editing while logged out, since your IP address is showing as your signature. Please log in first so that we know that this is the user Jbmcallister instead of an unknown AT&T Internet Services user. Thanks. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 16:47, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
