I have apparently been blocked for supporting an IP and saying they should get unblocked. Wikipedia is crazy. Probably giving up on editing after their false block. Joe (talk) 00:48, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I now want to get back on Wikipedia after thinking for a while. I hope I can be an editor on Wikipedia. Joe (talk) 22:47, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This account is not a sockpuppet. I now realize that I should have not supported the IP after seeing their contributions (way worse than I thought, the IP should stay blocked). However, I am not the IP. Joe (talk) 01:20, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I should not be blocked. I supported an IP and said they should get unblocked, and now I get blocked for supporting someone else? I understand that you may think I am the IP, but this is not the case. Supporting someone doesn't mean you are the person you are supporting. Joe (talk) 00:46, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You indicate that you won't be contributing anymore, so there is no need to remove the block. If you have changed your mind, you may make a new request. 331dot (talk) 08:55, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Using this account to create an illusion of support regarding an editor's unblock requests is inappropriate. The behavioral similarities and having to go through ACC to create an account make it obvious. - Aoidh (talk) 01:22, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I supported the IP earlier, but now I do believe that they should remain blocked. Sorry for posting my message before I realized how bad the IP's contributions were. Also, just because I act like a user doesn't mean I am the user. I just won't contribute to Wikipedia anymore because of their false block requests. It's a little sad. Edit: Forgot to sign with tildes, will do that. Joe (talk) 01:25, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

It's been a while and I've been thinking about getting back on Wikipedia. I supported IP 69 not knowing how bad the situation was (impersonation with User:1034Forest, pretending to be an admin, and much more). I stumbled upon the situation as I regularly do with Wikipedia users to try to stop vandalism, and believed the IP should have gotten unblocked. I now realize this was wrong. I am also not a sock puppet, and just because I had to go through ACC doesn't mean I am one. I went through ACC because of some issues with using a shared IP address. I would like to contribute and make the site a better place. Thank you, and I hope I can get unblocked. Joe (talk) 22:45, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Confirmed to 1034Forest. Additionally,  Confirmed to MewKittyAboutPage which I'll go block now. Yamla (talk) 23:03, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Realization

[edit]

I have realized that the IP's contributions are worse than I thought. I probably should not have supported them. Sorry for supporting IP 69 and I hope I can get unblocked to contribute to the Wikipedia community. Joe (talk) 00:52, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Who is MewKittyAboutPage? And what is Confirmed?

[edit]

@Yamla I am sorry, but I don't know what "confirmed" means. I know who 1034Forest is, but not MewKittyAboutPage. If it means what I think it might mean, I am not either of those users. By the way, I am on a shared IP address. Joe (talk) 23:07, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

See WP:MEAT and WP:CHECKUSER. --Yamla (talk) 23:08, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I understand. So these users were confirmed to be using my shared IP address? Joe (talk) 23:10, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I just want to confirm that I am not associated with these users. Joe (talk) 23:11, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
