Hi. Thanks for curating this page. Yo have suggested improvements and addressed that the article contains or relies on one source. But actually, to be honest, this type of articles always rely on a single or a few sources. Because these are list articles and these contains in a group in few stats websites. If it would be a biographic or organizational article or any event, it would have enough sources. You can also see some articles similar to my one, for example- List of Dhaka Division cricketers, List of Duronto Rajshahi cricketers etc. These articles also rely on one source.  A.A Prinon  Conversation 11:42, 18 April 2021 (UTC)

Hi A.A Prinon, the reference for the article is to a subscription site so it can't be verified unless you subscribe. Additionally, the notability guidelines refer to "significant coverage in reliable sources", ie more than one source. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 13:07, 18 April 2021 (UTC)

John B123, The reference is a subscription site. But I am viewing that site without subscribing. If you can stop the site before the paywall loads, then you can also view that site. However, the same subscription site (cricketarchive.com) is also used in all other similar list articles. See- Template:Lists of Bangladeshi cricketers. A.A Prinon (talk) 13:22, 18 April 2021 (UTC)

@A.A Prinon: Defeating paywalls isn't how Wikipedia works and is basically dishonest. I'd draw your attention to WP:ONESOURCE: a subject for which only one source can be cited is unlikely to merit a standalone article. --John B123 (talk) 14:38, 18 April 2021 (UTC)

@John B123: However, all the lists of first-class, List A and T20 teams players of Bangladesh also used this same subscription site as reference. A.A Prinon (talk) 15:18, 18 April 2021 (UTC)

@A.A Prinon: That's as may be, but it doesn't make it compliant with the guidelines. Perhaps I need to nominate these lists for deletion. --John B123 (talk) 15:20, 18 April 2021 (UTC)

@John B123:, Now you please check the page. Hope that now you can verify the list. A.A Prinon (talk) 22:24, 18 April 2021 (UTC)

Contesting Deletion

I reworded the No Good Gofers page in my own words to where it shouldn't be copyright infringement anymore.

@DemonStalker: Please see copyvio report[1] Regards. --John B123 (talk) 19:02, 20 April 2021 (UTC)
@John B123: I checked it and after the change it said thirty something percent and that copyright violation was unlikely. Is this a fine percentage or should it be closer to twenty percent or even lower? DemonStalker (talk) 19:14, 20 April 2021 (UTC)
@DemonStalker: You need to change the text that's highlighted in red. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 19:19, 20 April 2021 (UTC)
@John B123: Ok I fixed the highlighted areas dropping the the violation percentage from 30%+ to ~8% with the longest highlighted area that is left is a phrase/saying. DemonStalker (talk) 19:41, 20 April 2021 (UTC)

Guess all of this doesn't matter anymore because the page was deleted. :/ Ok, false alarm, turns out I'm just dyslexic

@DemonStalker: I've removed the speedy delete tag and added a {{copyvio-revdel}} tag which will be removed by an admin when he has made the offending revisions of the page history. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 19:50, 20 April 2021 (UTC)

@John B123: Ok thank you <3... I have one more unrelated question though. In the Special pages (Wanted pages) what does the /GA1 and /GA2 mean? DemonStalker (talk) 20:01, 20 April 2021 (UTC)

@DemonStalker: /GA pages are for discussions about articles nominated for GA (good article) review. I'd ignore them as they are probably orphaned links to pages that have been deleted, moved or archived. If you are using the list for new articles to create I would ignore anything beginning with "Talk:". Regards --John B123 (talk) 20:09, 20 April 2021 (UTC)

Reverted Page?

How comes my recently created page Hemmingwell was deleted? It appears it was originally deleted due to lack of sources and general info, however I created this page with far more info than its original state as well as the necessary sources. Can this be reinstated? Thanks. - PayneKiller908

Hi PayneKiller908. The normal procedure for recreating articles that have previously been deleted at WP:AfD, is to create them in draft and then submit for WP:AfC review. There are parts of the article that are unreferenced. I'm happy to restore the article if you are going to add further references. If it helps I can tag where references are needed. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 16:33, 24 April 2021 (UTC)

Oh ok, thanks for the response. Yes I can add further references and if you wouldn't mind tagging where they are necessary that would be appreciated. Thanks. - PayneKiller908

Motoplas

On the offchance that you should ever see any non-motorcycle products in Motoplas (M.P.C. = Motoplas Company) refs or other literature, I would appreciate it. Possibly tonneaus for sports cars and sidecars. Tried at Grace's guide and done a few superficial searches mentioning Waverley Works. I don't know when BSA absorbed Motoplas, maybe inheriting the Waverley building as I surmise it may have been. Don't need to cite it. Many thanks.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 19:15, 3 April 2021 (UTC)

Hi Rocknrollmancer. I haven't seen anything like that but it's possible they were produced. BSA were in possession of the Waverley Works by WW2.[2] Motoplas doesn't seem to have been set up until the 1950s and was an offshoot of one of BSA's subsidiary companies Metal and Plastic Compacts.[3] [4]. These may also be of interest. [5] [6]. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 20:25, 3 April 2021 (UTC)
Thanks for that - I've been doing some very small bits on railways and this image shows large sheds that had their own shunting lines for shipping heavy engineering out; after the heyday of manufacturing they became run down and under-occupied - one chap at the gym in 1985 worked there - Sintered Products - owned by engineering giant GKN. I always thought that Motoplas was independent and that they would've already diversified into other products than seat covers befire being bought-out by BSA (don't know why - must do better in future). --Rocknrollmancer (talk) 23:37, 3 April 2021 (UTC)
@Rocknrollmancer: Hi, I've just noticed from Amal (carburettor)#cite note-7, Motoplas took over the manufacturing of Amal's alloy brake and clutch levers in '67. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 15:38, 25 April 2021 (UTC)
Yeah, thanks, I wrote it! Nice to be reminded though, it was an age ago. I've just been looking for some F750 pics that's on my old computer but can't recall where from (a paddock shot of Percy Tait on the Suzuki triple sprang to mind). I keep threatening to screengrab the URLs, but I've now found a few new pics of interest so all's not lost. rgds,-- Rocknrollmancer (talk) 20:59, 25 April 2021 (UTC)
@Rocknrollmancer: Sorry, I didn't realise you wrote it. Tait on a kettle, must have been in 76. There's some info on his North West 200 winning triple here. On a side note, in about 74 I owned an ex-Boyer of Bromley 1966 Bonneville production racer that was originally raced by Tait. (Not a true Thruxton, but Triumph supplied Thruxton kits to selected dealers for racing. Boyers were a semi-works team at the time.) A pig to ride on the road, a very cammy engine combined with a close ratio box meant acceleration to 30 was pedestrian and then the power came in with a bang. BLP Scientists

This is not actually helpful, please see WP:NPROF for guidelines for academics and requirements for RS for academics. --hroest 20:39, 26 April 2021 (UTC)

@Hannes Röst: I am well aware of WP:NPROF. I suggest you read WP:PRIMARY as the bulk of the article is referenced to her self-written University profile. This is not a reliable sources as required by WP:NPROF and WP:GNG. --John B123 (talk) 21:03, 26 April 2021 (UTC)
John B123 Please have a look at WP:NPROF again, it clearly specifies non-independent sources, such as official institutional and professional sources, are widely accepted as reliable sourcing for routine, uncontroversial details. This is exactly what the article does. I dont see how it could be any clearer. --hroest 21:45, 26 April 2021 (UTC)
@Hannes Röst: Please read the sentence in full Once the passage of one or more notability criteria has been verified through independent sources, or through the reliable sources listed explicitly for this purpose in the specific criteria notes, non-independent sources, such as official institutional and professional sources, are widely accepted as reliable sourcing for routine, uncontroversial details. You need to establish WP:NPROF from independent sources before adding "non-independent sources". Excluding her self written profile, all there is left is She was listed as one of the 50 most influential women in 2016 by The Analytical Scientist, which is not enough to pass WP:NPROF.--John B123 (talk) 22:04, 26 April 2021 (UTC)
John B123, well said. Onel5969 TT me 00:00, 27 April 2021 (UTC)
You are now making a completely different argument, your initial argument was that the article needs multiple sources to support its statements. This is still false, it does not. Since this is clearly not the case, you are now using a completely different argument namely that the subject is not notable. My point is that *if* the subject is notable, *then* we can use official institutional and professional sources. Please let me know if you would like to engage in a completely different discussion, namely if the subject is notable to begin with. This is very easy established with her winning the Thomson Medal, one of the highest distinctions in the field. --hroest 00:35, 27 April 2021 (UTC)
@Hannes Röst: I'm not changing my argument at all just responding to your previous comment. If her meeting NP is through her winning the Thompson Medal, then that needs to be verified by independent sources (note NP uses the plural). Her writing that she has won it is not verification. For clarity, basing a biography on what they have said about themselves without independent verification is not acceptable. --John B123 (talk) 06:12, 27 April 2021 (UTC)

1932 Penn State Nittany Lions men's soccer team

Hey John,

First off thanks for all the work you do, I see you review my pages a lot. Second just would love some help understanding the tag you had added to my page 1932 Penn State Nittany Lions men's soccer team.

For adding more precise citations would that be in the history section? Would it be simply just adding more refs at the ends of sentences that point to articles that confirm that point?

I am pretty new to this specific tag so would love some help. Thanks!

NoahRiffe (talk) 14:46, 27 April 2021 (UTC)

Hi NoahRiffe, I see you have added some more inline refs which helps. In general terms, each paragraph needs a reference at the end, provided that reference covers the whole paragraph. If it doesn't you may need to add refs within the paragraph.
Specifically with 1932 Penn State Nittany Lions men's soccer team, the long line of references under the table need to be moved to the part of the text that they refer to. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 16:48, 27 April 2021 (UTC)
John B123 How should I go about that for the table? Those refs in a line there under the table are where I got the results, location, date and time. NoahRiffe (talk) 17:24, 27 April 2021 (UTC)
Hi NoahRiffe, I'd put them at the end of the table row of the match they refer to. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 17:33, 27 April 2021 (UTC)

Re articles needing additional citations for verification

You have tagged the following articles, Victorian Railways G class (1877) & Victorian Railways H class (1877), as needing more citations. The whole page is a citation from the book "Steam Locomotives of the Victorian Railways - Volume 1 The First Fifty Years" which is listed in the References section on both pages. This is the only information that seems to exist on these locomotives (other than what I've added to my own website which I sourced from that book, and I've been told in the past I can't reference my own site). How can I list more citations if there isn't any more to list? --Trainsofvictoria (talk) 02:19, 28 April 2021 (UTC)

Hi Trainsofvictoria, you need to add inline citations, as at present some content being referenced inline and some being from a general reference is confusing. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 14:56, 28 April 2021 (UTC)
Is this on Victorian Railways G class (1877) acceptable? --Trainsofvictoria (talk) 15:26, 28 April 2021 (UTC)
Hi Trainsofvictoria, that looks fine. I've changed the refs to use {{harvnb}} as you've already detailed the book. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 15:32, 28 April 2021 (UTC)
Thanks for the help John B123, although it does seem like overkill and a little messy. I'll update the other page and take note of what to do with the other similar pages of missing locomotives I will be creating. --Trainsofvictoria (talk) 15:38, 28 April 2021 (UTC)

Hello John B123. This title used to be a redirect to Odisha FC. (I got notified of recent changes since I helped with a move discussion back in 2019). Do you know of any reason why Delhi Dynamos FC should still be kept as a separate article? Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 16:03, 28 April 2021 (UTC)

Hi EdJohnston, I can't see any reason for a separate article. The repeated recreation of Delhi Dynamos FC is largely a copy and paste from Odisha FC. Your protection of the page seems a good move. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 19:24, 28 April 2021 (UTC)

Hi John B123 Sir, If you don't mind can I remove the notability tag that you have put on the article. As I have now already mentioned some source and added some references. Also in many Embassy article like Embassy of the Czech Republic, Ottawa Embassy of the Czech Republic in Washington, D.C I see that they have less sources like in this article have. But you can see the more sources from

which is already mentioned in history. The Fucture Wikipedian (talk) 19:14, 29 April 2021 (UTC)

Hi The Fucture Wikipedian, the references you have added show it exists. That is an entirely different thing to it being notable. The references are mainly from primary sources. The articles you mention were created many years ago, in the intervening years the requirements for notability have changed. There have also been some similar embassy articles created recently that have been moved to draft. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 19:24, 29 April 2021 (UTC)

Hello John,

Could you please explain me what did you mean by telling that the article is not suitable. It meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline: it has significant coverage, sources are secondary and reliable (first of all „Miroslav Krleža Institute of Lexicography” in Zagreb), it is no original research, I am not affiliated with the subject etc. I am very sorry that there are no English sources available, but some of sources given in the article are summerized in English. Anyway, sources do not have to be available online or written in English. I have written the article like other similar articles dealing with members of the House of Ilok (Iločki in Croatian, Ujlaki in Hungarian), who lived in 14th, 15th and 16th century. Should the title be „Ladislav Iločki“ (his name in Croatian language) instead of Ladislaus of Ilok? Because the most sources talk about Croatian variety of his name. I can improve the article by putting some references instead of external links. I am looking forward to your answer. Regards, --Silverije 21:11, 30 April 2021 (UTC)

Hi Silve. The external links section is used to include links to further information not included in the article, it should not be used for references for the article. References should be provided by inline citations. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 21:30, 30 April 2021 (UTC)

Re plant lists

Hello JB123, hope you and yours are well. I waited a bit to see what consensus people at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Plants might arrive at. I believe the gist of the discussion at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Plants#List of Terminalia species is: for a list of accepted taxa we use a single authority for the names, and a taxonbar that shows references for consensus or not. Some Plants people are happy to see multiple sources accepted taxa in the same article, but the consensus is that listing out-of-date or contrary taxa is not appropriate. There were cheeky suggestions of "chuck in another ref to keep them happy". But, as you and I have said before, the consensus that providing a taxon bar is "multiple refs" and that a list should be constructed from a single authoritative source. Thank you and the other new page people for your work in making WP a better thing, it's great isn't it when things "work" and can be more than tiresome when some things don't. Wat Yanasangwararam

John, thank you for reading this article. What specific evidence is required for full verification? Aside from the fact that all information is available on the developer and administration website, whoever wrote this article is familiar with this monastery, including monks and management. If "reliable" evidence cannot be found, aren't you suggesting that this monastery including buildings and sculptures and dignified people has no place on Wikipedia? ... I am searching for Wikipedia adequate references, but it might be impossible to find more than was is provided. Further information: the monastery is managed by the Royal Palace of Thailand. Respectively sources on the official website Wat Yanasangwararam should be sufficient. Meow2021 (talk) 00:19, 4 May 2021 (UTC)

... I'm looking for appropriate Wikipedia references, but it may be impossible to find more than what is stated. Notes: The monastery is administered by the Royal Palace of Thailand. The relevant sources on the official website Wat Yanasangwararam should be sufficient?
Hi Meow2021. The "Buildings and monuments within the monastery" and "The Nak or Mangkorn Lennam Nanachart - International Naga or dragon - Pavilions" sections need referencing. I't ok to re-use one of the other references on the page if they cover these sections. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 06:15, 4 May 2021 (UTC)
Hello John. Thanks for your feedback. The references given cover every detail and information. I will try to get more reference even if it is difficult as not much is published about temples in Thailand ... Meow2021 (talk) 06:40, 4 May 2021 (UTC)
Hi Meow2021, if the existing references cover those sections then all you need to do is add those references to the sections. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 15:37, 4 May 2021 (UTC)

Draft:Cunico Resources

Hi John B123. This comment concerns Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cunico Resources. IMHO

  • the process was much too quick and incomplete (ie - to what does Elinruby (talk) 07:50, 29 March 2021 (UTC) refer to "source 2 is ridiculous and 3 is weak, 1 is an industry newsletter"?);
  • the votes went 3 Keep and 4 Delete, far from a ringing delete;
  • the comment by JBchrch is disingenuous: bloomberg, reuters and miningweekly.com are hardly "unreliable";
  • the process was hasty: within one day of receiving the fourth vote to delete on 27 April--there had been a deadlock for a fortnight--the article was vaporized by Ritchie333 on 28 April;
  • WP:NCORP may or may not be in play. I think not. But we can't judge now on 9 May because the article was vaporized.

It leaves a bad taste in my mouth that I can't even copy-paste the article to my Sandbox because it was hastily vaporized, much too quickly for the 19 April advice of a Delete voter, "a few sentences about Cunico could possibly be added to Beny Steinmetz", to be heeded. Can anything be done at this point? Magnovvig (talk) 18:26, 9 May 2021 (UTC)

Hi Magnovvig, you could ask for a Deletion review on the grounds you give above. You could alternatively ask the deleting admin to temporarily reinstate the page to enable you to merge into Beny Steinmetz. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 19:31, 9 May 2021 (UTC)

More Citations Tag

Re your insertion of a "More citations needed" tag in the Broadway Stakes (NYB). This article requires only one tag. Please refer to the following:
Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Horse racing#Ideas for British races winners lists (Stretchrunner II comment - 2nd paragraph)

Thanks. Stretchrunner II (talk) 13:24, 13 May 2021 (UTC)

Hi Stretchrunner II. Generally it's not good practice to rely on a single source, see WP:SINGLESOURCE. That aside, the problem with the article is that only the lead is referenced. The rest of the article may well be verifiable from the same source, but that needs to be shown in the article. It is unreasonable to assume the reader will know that the reference in the lead applies to the whole article. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 15:20, 13 May 2021 (UTC)

Adding the new article Lotus: Afro-Asian Writings to "page curation"

If I may ask, what exactly was the point of adding this template to the article (edit summary: "Added tags to the page using Page Curation (refimprove) Tag: PageTriage")? Is there a rule that 2 decent academic sources that source each and every statement of the short article are not nearly enough? I mean, scholarly sources could be added, say, if someone has Jstor access one could read this and gather valuable information from there. Sure. But I mean the topic is not highly important nor is it even controversial, and we are not being paid for our efforts. --Potugin (talk) 22:20, 13 May 2021 (UTC)

@Potugin: The point of adding the tag was that a large part of the article (second half of the first paragraph, second and third paragraphs) is unreferenced. It would be reasonable to assume that the first two references don't verify the second half of the first as the references are placed within the paragraph not the end. There is no rule about how many references in total, but per WP:VERIFY All content must be verifiable... and it is satisfied by providing an inline citation to a reliable source that directly supports the contribution ie an article with one reference that verifies the whole article satisfies WP:VERIFY providing inline citations are added appropriatly, whereas an article with 20 references that only verify the first sentence does not. --John B123 (talk) 22:43, 13 May 2021 (UTC)
OK, fine, then I will just add either of these two ref's to any paragraphs that don't have one specifically marked there yet and thereafter remove the tag you added. It will be an eyesore for the reader, but OK, if you say so. Potugin (talk) 22:50, 13 May 2021 (UTC)

Commando pic

Thought you might like to see this if you don't know of it, 3rd in 1970. Was a collaboration with Paul Dunstall, name only appearing on the fairing above clutch lever. I have a better pic of other side where the name is clear (a better angle than this). rgds, --Rocknrollmancer (talk) 03:09, 15 May 2021 (UTC)

Also there's a Dunstall Commando in the article pic at far end visible in the un-cropped version. I know these pics.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 03:12, 15 May 2021 (UTC)

Your request: more footnotes

Hello John B123! You asked for this.[7] I am not very familiar concerning formatting footnotes in en:WP. PLS. help regarding existing footnotes in de:Dart (Fahrzeugmarke) and additional resources given in de:Diskussion:Dart_(Fahrzeugmarke)#Hinterlegung_Recherchen. Have a nice weekend :-) Best --Tom (talk) 07:55, 29 May 2021 (UTC)

Hi Tom, you need to add inline citations to the text - see Help:Referencing for beginners. I'd do it for you to illustrate, but as I cannot see the text of the sources you list I don't know which statement comes from which source. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 10:47, 29 May 2021 (UTC)
Your advise is not helpful. I know "how to" do inline citations in WP since more than over 10 years ... in german wikipedia. Do you (on your side) know Wikipedia:Do not disrupt Wikipedia to illustrate a point? These few lines in the article do not need inline citations. The article is a first teaser for colleagues in en:WP who might extend this work. As to be seen on the article disc a lot of research has already been done and is available in de:Diskussion:Dart_(Fahrzeugmarke)#Hinterlegung_Recherchen. Sorry i am some kind of "pissed off" by your edit, because you could help and refuse to do it. --Tom (talk) 05:02, 30 May 2021 (UTC)
@Tom: see WP:BURDEN: All content must be verifiable. The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material, and it is satisfied by providing an inline citation to a reliable source that directly supports the contribution. --John B123 (talk) 08:39, 30 May 2021 (UTC)

@Tom: Please add inline citations to the article. --John B123 (talk) 10:06, 30 May 2021 (UTC)
nope. informations are given & present (almost in english language). I refuse to struggle with en:templates. YOU are the person who is playing on "wikilawering" rules or such stuff like Wikipedia:Do not disrupt Wikipedia to illustrate a point. I asked for help. You refused to aid. --Tom (talk) 10:12, 30 May 2021 (UTC)
Please make your mind up, firstly you don't know how to format footnotes in en:WP, then you do know how to do them "more than over 10 years", now you struggle with en:templates. I've got better things to do than waste my time arguing with somebody who refuses to comply with the requirements of the English WP. I have tried to help you but you have got aggressive with me. --John B123 (talk) 10:19, 30 May 2021 (UTC)
"I have tried to help you but you have got aggressive with me." Pls. read Confabulation. EOD. --Tom (talk) 10:27, 30 May 2021 (UTC)
@Tom: Apologies, instead of aggressive I should have written aggressive and argumentative. Now please stop wasting my time. --John B123 (talk) 10:31, 30 May 2021 (UTC)
In order of Wikipedia:Do not disrupt Wikipedia to illustrate a point this should have been our first idea. Sorry that it took some time to explain it to you. Best --Tom (talk) 10:42, 30 May 2021 (UTC)
@Tom: Yawn, no disruption going on just you refusing to comply with the requirements of WP. As previously requested please stop wasting my time. --John B123 (talk) 10:45, 30 May 2021 (UTC)
Did you ever hear of "Beamten-Mikado"? Arguing as you present it here, is definitely disruptive; thus because on both side we know a better situation. BTW "stop wasting my time" ... this was (sorrowfully) from your side to begin this. --Tom (talk) 10:58, 30 May 2021 (UTC)
@Tom: If that's how you see it then fine, live in your own little world . NOW STAY OFF MY TALK PAGE. --John B123 (talk) 11:01, 30 May 2021 (UTC)

Wolverhampton redirection

Hi John I noticed you removed the article I made and reverted on Wolverhampton. I wanted you to know a discussion was made on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject UK geography and Crouch,Swale has said it satisfies one or two categories. Can I ask why you have removed it without it going through either an AfD or a merge discussion first. RailwayJG (talk) 22:31, 16 May 2021 (UTC)

Hi RailwayJG, as per WP:SPLIT, it needs a discussion on the article's talk page to gain consensus to split. One other editor not objecting once you have made the split is not the same thing. This is therefore a WP:BOLD split that can be reverted without discussion. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 07:46, 17 May 2021 (UTC)

With all due respect user Eopsid made a new article for Sheffield and there was no discussion on it. Can I ask why that was allowed to go ahead without a census but not mine for Wolverhampton? Regards RailwayJG (talk) 08:31, 17 May 2021 (UTC)

Hi RailwayJG, if you read the lead sections of Sheffield and City of Sheffield it is clear what the difference between the two articles is. The lead section should summarise what an article is about. Looking at The City of Wolverhampton and Wolverhampton, the lead sections are so similar that it difference, and hence the need for two articles, is not immediately apparent. Additionally, there is far less duplication of content in the Sheffield articles than in the Wolverhampton articles. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 14:14, 17 May 2021 (UTC)

I'm sorry John to bother you with this, but forwarding Viharnra Sien to Viharn Sien is ridiculous with the argument "This is a very strange spelling". I went to the temple yesterday to take pictures for the article ... take a closer look - the original name of the monastery is Viharnra Sien, not Viharn Sien like most of the people on the news and the internet do. Khao Chi Chan

Dear John, it appears that there is a problem with the Khao Chi Chan page that is being redirected to Na Chom Thian. I was on my way to create a new page / article about Khao Chi Chan, the mountain or hill. Na Chom Thian is a location, not a hill, in Thailand. Khao Chi Chan Hill is located in Na Chom Thian. Since it has been redirected, I want to be able to create a page to match it. Please take a look what about.. Thank you Meow2021 (talk) 06:11, 18 May 2021 (UTC)

Hi Meow2021, it's ok to change the redirect into an article. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 06:53, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
How can I create now the page Khao Chi Chan I'm working on? Thanks Meow2021 (talk) 07:02, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
I've found a way to create this article. Na Chom Thian is a town and subdistrict not a mountain! The mountain calls Khao Chi Chan. That is how we educate the world :) Thank you for looking at Meow2021 (talk) 07:47, 18 May 2021 (UTC)

Hi John, could you check The Buddha Mountain ? This is the new article that I referred to earlier today. Meow2021 (talk) 15:00, 18 May 2021 (UTC)

Soviet Submarine S-359

Hello there. As you pointed out, this article could certainly use some better sources. I set out to translate the article from Danish after this Reddit post blew up about a month ago. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any English language sources on the sub. I'm running some Russian sources through Google translate, and I think I've uncovered an issue. It seems the Danes may have been mistaken about which submarine this is. this source states that the actual sub was S-174. This page for the real S-359 claims the Danes were incorrect about which ship they had and that the actual name of that ship was unknown.

So now I have a bit of a conundrum. This vessel certainly existed and was a tourist destination in Denmark. However, I may have created the wrong page. However, I don't know how verifiable these Russian pages are, and I don't know where to begin to look for better information. Any suggestions? Illinois2011 (talk) 20:12, 18 May 2021 (UTC)

Hi Illinois2011, it certainly is a conundrum. The sub being S-174 and then renumbered RZS/PZS-359 when decommissioned and then scrapped does sound feasible. The Danes calling it U-359 doesn't go against that, and it's possible the "U" prefix was chosen deliberately to avoid confusion - calling it S-174 when its got 359 painted on the conning tower. I think I'd move the page to Soviet Submarine U-359, per WP:COMMONNAME, and add some notes to the article about the claimed Soviet naming history. Soviet submarine S-359 and Soviet submarine S-174 could both be redirects to the article.
Whilst English sources are preferred, if they're not available then foreign language sources are better than nothing. I see there are a couple of more sources on the Danish article. The website for when it was exhibited is archived at [8] and the Tourist Brochure here which may be of use. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 21:02, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
Edit to add, this source also shows S-174 being renumbered RZS-359 and PZS-359 --John B123 (talk) 21:30, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
Thank you so much for helping me figure that out John B123. I have recreated the page at Soviet submarine U-359 and added additional references as well as the redirects. I'll be on the lookout for more sources. Illinois2011 (talk) 01:45, 19 May 2021 (UTC)
Hi Illinois2011, glad to have been of help. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 15:27, 19 May 2021 (UTC)
