[edit]Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Jpserrett, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I noticed that one of the first articles you created or edited appears to be an article about yourself. Writing about yourself is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians.
As this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. We require individuals to meet Wikipedia's definition of a notable person to accept articles about them. A page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
If your contributions to an existing article about yourself are undone and you wish to add to or change it, please propose the changes on its talk page.

Speedy deletion nomination of Johnny Serret
[edit]Hello Jpserrett,
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username MicrobiologyMarcus, and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, Johnny Serret for deletion, because it appears to be about something that you or someone you know personally invented, coined, or discovered, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important and/or recognized enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.
For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|MicrobiologyMarcus}}
. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

[edit]Hello, Jpserrett. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. ElKevbo (talk) 01:12, 5 January 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add or change content, as you did at Kevin De Bruyne, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Mattythewhite (talk) 15:59, 22 March 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, your recent edits to Julián Álvarez have been reverted because you failed to provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. - Hello, Jpserrett,
- If all you want to write about or contribute is about yourself and your career, this account will be blocked for blatant self-promotion. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a director for actors to publicize their work. Please find yourself a blog or website for this kind of personal content. Liz Read! Talk! 21:49, 10 October 2024 (UTC)
