A tag has been placed on your user page, User:KatrinaMcCaffery, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes or publicises a company, product, group or service, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages; user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you can indicate why the page is not blatant advertising, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: Click here to contest this speedy deletion which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy deletion candidate). Doing so will take you to your user talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also edit this page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would help make it encyclopedic. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.   18:59, 21 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion[edit]

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (did not realize I could not explain who I am and what I do on my user page. I thought the user page was personal use for editors to get to know each other. I will remove any info that seems promotional) --KatrinaMcCaffery (talk) 19:21, 21 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Rob McDowall, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.mcdowall.me/about-rob/.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. Oliver trevena[edit]

You may want to move the title of the article and capitalize his last name, and maybe fill in some of the article where it's nothing but sentence fragments. I'm not trying to be mean, but it does need a little more work. However, it's a needed article, and I'm glad you're contributing.☺White Arabian mare (Neigh) 21:45, 22 September 2015 (UTC)White Arabian mare White Arabian mare (Neigh) 21:45, 22 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Dr. Lisa Christiansen requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Issuing level 1 warning about removing AfD template from articles before the discussion is complete. (Peachy 2.0 (alpha 8))[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Lisa J Pellegrene. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it.—cyberbot ITalk to my owner:Online 14:10, 28 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Oops sorry! I didn't even realize I erased it. I coped into my notepad to fix and then pasted. Didn't even notice it removed the article for deletion part. User talk:KatrinaMcCaffery

Promotion and COI[edit]

Hi Katrina, I saw your edits on Lisa J Pellegrene, a page which has had issues partly due to her being a publicist & the account that created it being used exclusively to promote her clients and their projects, and to whom you're linked via work on several organizations. I noticed you're also a publicist, and your edits & page creations here have included Carlos Villalobos, Jon Luvelli, and Oliver Trevena, all of whom, per http://www.mccafferymedia.com/about-us/, are your clients. You also have direct links (such as website design credit) to Rob McDowall, and Dr. Lisa Christiansen (article deleted, worked with per your IMDB page). Given some of the edits & issues (such as removing automated notices from talk pages about deletion discussions, speedy deletions, etc) with these pages, it looks like you might be unaware of Wikipedia's conflict of interest and paid contribution guidelines. You might want to take a look, if you're working with/on pages of people or groups with whom you have direct personal and financial links certain disclosures are mandated on your own page and the pages you edit, and special care should be taken to maintain neutral point of view & respect wikipedia is not a soapbox or means of promotion/Advertising, marketing or public relations. Thanks! JamesG5 (talk) 15:46, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

JamesG5 Thank you for informing me. Yes, Lisa is a member of my organization. Rob McDowall is not a client just someone I admire. The rest I completely understand and will not touch their pages after reading the terms. Once again, Thank you. Katrina McCafferyKatrinaMcCaffery (talk) 15:56, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Oliver Trevena[edit]

The article Oliver Trevena has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Seems like the ones of many small time ex-pat aspiring actors who never make it as big as having a Wikipedia article here, therefore fail WP:NACTOR. E! Online source does not explain how he is notable, all it says is he was engaged with some former child TV star and how their engagement lasted a year, therefore WP:NOTINHERITED, also attending and hosting showbiz parties isn't going to make this subject notable.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. There is a clear case of wiki hounding taking place on all articles I've ever edited or created. It's clear by editing history over the last two days that two editors have teamed up to have anything I've worked on removed. I have followed the rules and already agreed to terms. Everything was fine for months until two editions decided to go after me and my articles for whatever reason. I am requesting an admin to look at what is taking place. In the meantime I will be reading up on exactly how to being further attention to this issue. Also, the things written by these editors about the people I edited articles for is false and defamation at times. Unprofessional. [User:KatrinaMcCaffery|KatrinaMcCaffery]] (talk) 23:0721, 14 June 2016 (UTC)

What do you mean by false and defamation? Where are we stating are false and defamation? Nothing personal about your articles as they were nominated because they don't meet notability guidelines, maybe you should had paid attention to WP:GNG before you started creating articles for your clients. Also one of your client requested you to create an article for him and you did, isn't this a case of clear WP:COI? Donnie Park (talk) 00:04, 17 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
There is not a case of WP:HOUNDING. Donnie Park raised a concern about your COI editing at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard, and I understand he has nominated the articles you wrote for deletion because he does not find them notable - see WP:GNG. I picked up his COI report and have weighed in on the deletion discussions in course of checking the COI situation. The bottom line here is that either the articles are notable, in which case they should stay, or they are not notable, in which case they should be deleted. That there may or may not have been COI with respect to the articles is neither here nor there so far as deletion discussions are concerned; and I note (and thank you for) the undertaking you gave when COI was drawn to your attention. Should you wish to call an admin or several in to review the situation, the best place would be at WP:ANI. --Tagishsimon (talk) 05:44, 17 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
To simplify matters slightly, I've alerted the admins to this thread, at Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#User:KatrinaMcCaffery_has_requested_admin_intervention --Tagishsimon (talk) 06:49, 17 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Coming in from the ANI thread, and without looking at the substance of the articles themselves, it does come across as a bit bitey for a single user to go and template three articles and drag the same user to a noticeboard all in under six hours. It is especially disappointing given that Katrina McCaffery had made the correct disclosures some time ago and appears to have kept her word regarding articles on her clients. Regardless of whether the templating is technically allowed under the rules, it could have been handled much better without the need to get administrators involved. Lankiveil (speak to me) 08:51, 17 June 2016 (UTC).[reply]
This is not unusual for editors with COI who are brought up at COIN. All of their edits/articles get looked at in quick succession. I would *expect* any editor who spots blatant non-notable puffery to check the editors other contributions and take action accordingly. In this case that resulted in multiple AFD's. Generally if you want to avoid AFD's, dont go making articles about non-notable clients. Only in death does duty end (talk) 09:34, 17 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I would point out that one of the AFD's above was for a non-notable person who has been Deleted through the AFD process twice before. So not exactly a shock for the third nom. Only in death does duty end (talk) 09:38, 17 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
